If what other have reported about Porsche running 3 full shifts is accurate, then it also makes sense that they would suspend PTS. If they are trying to maximize production volumes, they want to eliminate anything that slows things down - even a little.

PTS has always been a bit of a crap shoot. I thought with them limiting the colors and allowing mere mortals to gaze at the choices on the Configurator, I thought things might have improved (especially at $12k) but I guess not.
I went 1 for 3 on PTS, which would be great for MLB batting…

My Targa GTS order is PTS. It was scheduled for build in November but dealer called me to tell me it’s delayed until January due to delays on other options but nothing to do with PTS.
It moved to “pre production” on Friday, confirmed in email from Porsche GB.
I am now told it is still a confirmed November PTS slot but merely delayed and will be delivered in January.
Not holding my breath but we’ll wait and see.

Over the past week I've seen several users reporting no PTS for remainder of MY23, mostly in the Carrera T and GT3RS allocation topics. See this quote from the GT3RS section:
So seems to not apply universally, just North American market. Also seems that if you properly locked an order before the stop sale you're still due to get PTS. So not a true factory closure, just no new NA market orders being accepted. I am meeting later today with the dealer who told me I can do PTS on a Feb23 T build last week to get clarification on this.
People are confusing calendar year with model year 2023 which is August 2022 to July 2023.
The PTS stop order is for model year 2023 and I believe only affects North American builds. My understanding is that the factory is overwhelmed with PTS orders and needs to temporary pause them so as to catch up. It appears to me that they underestimated the demand for PTS when they decided to make it more available. Might also explain why the option is now more expensive for the RS.
We can expect PTS to resume in NA for model year 2024 cars barring any unforeseen circumstances.

I heard the same thing last week, I put a request in for a 911 Targa 4S PTS (dealer said it would likely be about 1 year before it is open up again (due to said stop sale on PTS in NA)). That works out, I am enjoying my current 2022 Targa 4S (non PTS). Figured I would get on the list with small deposit for a 2024 PTS build.
