Current 992 ADM?

I've been on a list for 50 weeks now. I'd gladly pay 15k over sticker to get my car tomorrow, but I'm not putting a deposit down on 15k over AND waiting 2 years.

I just stopped in there Saturday when I was in town and they had a GTS in the showroom that they were asking roughly 25k over sticker and it had some miles on it.

If you want a MSRP or close to it on a new base/S/C4S/GTS 992 you need an allocation. Unfortunately all of their lists are pretty long like most dealerships. All f their suede 992s are above MSRP I believe, also like most dealerships.

I'm looking to buy a 992 and the dealership says the adjusted dealer markup (ADM) is $15K for a base 911, $25K for an S/4, $35K for a 4S/GTS, and $50K for a Turbo/Turbo S. Is this still in-line with the market? These are the same numbers that my local dealership quoted me back in May before they "lost" my allocation (due to a 'CRM change') but I've got to imagine the market has cooled since then. Are these numbers still reasonable? For this kind of money I'll gladly pick up wherever - at sticker I'd buy a Turbo Cab but with these markups I'd stick with the base model Cab. What kind of markups is everyone else paying on a new (non-GT3!) 992?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I had one dealer tell me that I can have an allocation to order a new car. When it arrives, they will appraise it as a used car and charge that current market value to me for the new one. About 4-5 months ago, these cars were going very high over msrp and to be fair, a 2023 would still. That to me was a very bad deal. At least with the 10k over, I knew what I was getting.

Yup, that’s the used one they have, basically brand new with 140 or so miles I think. Very nice car, I’m not a fan of the interior beige though.

I think ADM applies largely to large markets (LA, Atlanta, etc). OTOH, a smaller market/dealer will probably mean a longer wait for they don't get as many allocations. I read the auto market (ADM's, high pre-owned prices) will crash with the upcoming recession. Maybe. It's Econ 101 supply vs demand. If the number of relatively well-heeled 911 buyers exceeds supply, the high prices will endure. If not, and prices for luxury goods can be extremely volatile, who knows? Witness the multiple surges and crashes in collectible cars in the past, or the impact of the luxury tax on the yacht market.

I'm paying MSRP for my '23 C2 that delivers in Jan. here in Fresno CA.
I have somewhat of a relationship with the dealer but we aren't blood brothers or anything. Just bought some cars from him, and did sell a 981 to him a while back.

I was just quoted $15k and $30k adm from two different dealerships on a GTS coupe in LA. Doesn’t seem like it’s going away quite yet.

So if i wanted a C4 without ADM, better chance to get it down south where they may not care about C4s?
Just trying to follow the logic. Thanks!

I don't believe it works like this. Having called every dealership I could find, adm was an issue on pretty much any model, any state. And in order to avoid the adm it was a minimum of 2-3 year wait. Unless you have an extremely personable relationship with your local dealer, and by local dealer, I mean sales GM, it's unlikely you'll receive anything immediate without adm. Pick your poison, an additional $15k on something your already spending $150+ On or 2-3 year wait taking a chance on god knows what changes Porsche will make next.

Do the following
Call up every dealer you are willing to order a car from.
Place an order for the car you want.
Put down a reasonable refundable deposit (depending on the state just about all deposits are refundable). Reasonable = about 5k
Agree to whatever ADM dealer wants.
Do this for multiple dealers.
When car arrives, renegotiate the ADM, or just walk away and go to the next dealer you did the same thing with.
If as all Rennlist hoi polloi seem to suggest and prices will indeed drop in the next year or two, then you should have no problems renegotiating the ADM away.
