Default 992gts engine leaking oil

Wondering if anyone with similar issue with their 992. Noticed an oil stain a few days back where the car parks. Took it in today and surely enough SA says engine is leaking oil and he'll have more information tomorrow. Car was delivered in June, a touch over 2K miles and entirely stock. Will update as more details come up. Kinda blows, waited for a year for this thing!

Don't get too excited yet. I had a leak on my c2s at 5000 miles. Was just a sealing ring on a turbo oil line.

So it could be a minor issue and a quick fix ?
Car is sitting at dealership for now it seems, will have more information to share hopefully early next week.

Update, engine and transmission coming out today, they said the rear main seal is gonna need to be replaced for sure. However, there could be more depending what they find after taking a closer look. Could be another week or so.

Ouch, sorry to read this. Rear main seals are a royal PITA to service and of course engine out is a must. Keep us posted please.

Will do, I'll touch base with the SA, towards the end of the week unless he reaches out first. Would anyone here known what would cause such a failure ?

If it is indeed the rear seal and given that few miles on your car, I would venture it could be either subpar gasket &/or improper installation. If it wasn't under warranty I would see if a temporary solution like Blue Devil Rear Sealer might do the trick at least temporarily to allow you to save the cash to replace it if you don't do the job yourself. In this case let the warranty work and keep us posted. GL

Appreciate the input @siberian . I'll update once I find out more. And yeah, I'm letting the warranty work for a change. That being said, I'm kinda starting to miss my GTS right about now!

You drove it too hard and blew the gaskets out! Good job!

Got it back!! Faulty RMS per service advisor, that was intermittently leaking small amount of oil. No other issues. Replaced under warranty and oil changed.

They should give you a free extended warranty on the car.

Good to hear. So they had to remove the engine to replace that seal?
