I'm not sure why a metallic clicking sound is desirable, there's enough noise with the blinker distracting from the the desirable noise at the rear of the car. I was more interested in the (variable) firmness as well as size. Looking forward to your install and demo! Thanks for sharing

I purchased these and should get them sometime next week! These are at a large discount!! If you look on Suncoast, they require you to buy the whole steering wheel, and add the Weissach paddles for $1500 (total price $5295):

https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...t3rsalcsw.html

And if you look at Suncoast for the previous generation of RS Weissach paddles (they’re carbon for 991.2 vs magnesium in 992), those are offered by themselves BUT for a whopping $3395!!!

There’s only one pair left as far as I can tell. I’ll report back with a comparison video (it’ll be sold out by then I’m sure) between stock vs JQ Werks vs Weissach paddles!

Edit: actually there’s another pair with light scratches at a further discount. 2 pairs. Makes me feel better about my purchase that the seller would create a new listing and further discount for scratches that many (not me I’m a perfectionist) might not even notice! Kudos to them!

for me it’s this: I wanted manual but I daily drive my 992 and I live in the SF Bay Area and have 1.5hr commute each way in stop n go traffic. Manual just wasn’t feasible for me (personally), and was a major trade off. This gives an ever-so-slight additional engagement with the car. To be real it’s nowhere near manual, and there’s no skill involved which is what can make a perfect shift gratifying, but this is technology pulled from Formula One and the paddles are the ONLY way to manually engage with PDK, and the audible click, while small, is an added haptic and auditory feedback that’s missing from the stock paddles.

Id assume anyone who doesn’t want this has their mind made up, but trying to give you insight as to why some might care or spend $1500 for a click

All 992s share the same shift connector per my understanding!

PS it better or I’m out a good chunk of $$ lol! I have a GTS

I think you need the GT wheel, no? But they're available on every 911, and the great majority of buyers go for it, for what I've seen (I will too, and the heated one). My question is how easy is to remove the wheel to do the paddle swap job?

The yellow plug with green locking tab is the hardest part. But if you have a set of small, pick tools, could be cake.

I give this mod a 6/10 on the must do scale. It’s cool, but not that cool. The throw or travel is pretty long compared to stock, but the extended paddle length is nice.

About a month ago, I started a detailed thread with pics and a video on the install.

Thank you for the install info. But the longer travel you stated is a deal-breaker for me. Will go back to figure out which ones you're talking about. I honestly don't have an issue with the stock ones, but a nicer tactile feel would be nice . I drive with paddles most of the time.
