If you can operate a paint can, you can fix that yourself for $ 50 in materials and an hour's work - no one will see it.

To repair is properly, as in back to OEM and integrity for many years to come, whole bumper needs to be addressed…small repair and spot blend of color in the damaged area, then clear coat the whole bumper…set you back 1-2.5k depending on how it’s executed

a proficient mobile paint guy however can give you near similar results, by spot blending color AND clear in the general area…this will be under 500 and results MAY last a few years, maybe more

out of pocket avoids carfax for this cosmetic repair

insurance route, most likely will have a carfax AND May raise insurance premium, but check with your carrier

doing a “touch up” diy, not recommended as the color will never look right since it’s metallic, but to some, it’s “good enough”…so not sure what your level of perfection expectation is, but it’s definitely cheapest and least-hassle option if you don’t want to look at an eye sore

I disagree you need a professional repair on that area. I have done dozens of these on everything from Fords to Aston Martins, its quite simple if you have the right materials and some patience, The key is fine sandpaper grits (up to 2000 grit) and priming the area first, Because.the angle of this area is curved to the pavement, it shows no reflectivity and you don’t need to paint the entire panel as you would with an upper flat surface that has high reflectivity. Properly executed with the correct primer, it will last as long as the rest of the paint on the car.

Ultimate Coachworks in Culver City. Ask for Gary. The best. Had the same scratch/damage on mine and he touched it up for $300.

I totally agree. This is on a plastic part, Porsche branded touch paint is awesome. Order some up from suncoast, sand it touch it and done. You should get great results. If you don’t like it a complete repaint could be done at any time.
