Default What equipment is in short supply?

I was trying to spec out my new 911 C4S, and found out that PDCC is not currently available.
Now apparently Bose is also in short supply.
What other equipment have others found to be affected by supply issues.
I am aware of supply issues with: electric steering columns, PDCC, PDLS+ lights, Bose, and PCCBs.
With all of these supply issues, should I wait to order my 911 C4S or should I just order it now.
What do you all think?

I'm not sure where you're getting all this info, but you appear to be hooked up with the info.

I would order it now and if something happens, you'll have to wait. You'll have to wait longer if you don't order it now.

Totally up to you and your timetable, wants, and needs. I'm more worried about the beer bottle (allegedly) shortage.

What is not in short supply is M-Tuners! We've got them in-stock and ready to go.

There's some yt videos out there stating some of these shortages. Not sure where THEY get their info of course.

Don't worry about the bottles....cans and draft are better anyway

Which ones are you most worried about? Personally, I think the lack of Bose is a great excuse to bump up to Burmester.

it was also my understanding that only certain models were omitting the parts that are in short supply. Looks like you can still spec most of the on a c4s, no?

That's some A+ marketing right there.

I'm not sure PCCB's are an issue anymore. I've got them coming on my '23 C2S.

I heard they're all out of 911s now, too!

Just order it and let God sort out the rest. It's exhausting trying to game the supply chain. You'll never win.

I have a Range Rover on order and it's absolutely ridiculous at Land Rover. They've progressively shut down options and it won't be long before people are basically ordering the same car, just different (limited) color choices.

I’ve passed my freeze date now, if there was a supply shortage affecting my build, where in the order process would I hear about it?

tremendous advice. go with what’s available. It’s a 911, it’s not going to disappoint. Otherwise this will quickly turn into “I’ll wait for the 992.2” then “the 994 is just around the corner” then “G bodies have surely got to come down soon” then “maybe I’ll get one of those 964 electric conversions” and then it’s 2030.

My sales manager was reading the list with all the stops sales/delays. PTS, Aero kits, gloss black exterior parts..... Once your car goes V250 the car is going to get built. A year ago my build was a stop sell due to Aerokit. Once I got the new allocation we built the car that day and I went V200!

Don’t expect to hear anything. I heard about it when TYD dates started jumping all over the map. Car took 3 months to build. No one can explain why. Communication throughout this process has been abysmal. Inexcusably poor frankly. Radio silence all around. But I had the same issue with a BMW I bought this year. No info and months of waiting.

I am in the middle of a similar situation. Car went into production 8/24, and yesterday the completion date got bumped from 9/30 to 10/14. Almost 2 months for production, and that's not including the likelihood it gets bumped again. Meanwhile, people are posting that they have GTS's getting built in 5 days. My car is heavily optioned so who knows what is causing such significant delays.
