I took delivery of a Mercedes vehicle in Germany this year and I was not on the title.
Easily done with a power of attorney document - the template was actually prepared by the dealer.

I saw that too. First thread is debating 992 vs C8. Then immediately questions 992 because of a one-off potential lemon. Now ED available...Tomorrow there will be be a thread about being offered a GT3 RS allocation... lol

How would doing Euro Delivery speed up allocation/build process? What's in it for the dealer to push you up vs 14-18 mth initial timeline?

If you can get the car sooner and do ED find a way to do it. Its the best experience anybody that cares about cars could ever wish for. You'll have great internet and phone connectivity to run your company.

With ED, the dealer should get another allocation to replace that one... that is why they're are offering it.

I used to have to be in Luxembourg once a quarter for a Board meeting:
  • 6:30 pm Sunday flight from JFK to Amsterdam
  • arrive 7:45 am Monday at Schiphol
  • 9:30 puddle jumper to Luxembourg
  • 11:30 Meeting
  • 3:00 puddle jumper back to Schiphol
  • 5:45 p.m flight back to JFK Monday night
It is doable but not pleasant.

I thought (with no actual factual basis) that there was a requirement of a minimum number of miles that needed to be driven before the car could be shipped back. is that accurate?

There is something going on with European Delivery, but I can't quite put it all together. I was considering buying a newer 992 and my dealer said the same thing, MUCH quicker if I take Euro Delivery and even a better price point. That leads me to suspect that Porsche AG is promoting it to their dealers with incentives, but I have no proof - just it would be quicker and cost less overall.

Like someone mentioned, the dealer gets an additional allocation from Porsche AG, even though the dealer pays $3k+ for euro delivery. But with today's market, an additional allocation is worth boats more than $3k. A win win: customer gets the car sooner (plus bonus euro vacation if you play it that way), the dealer gets an additional allocation for about $3k which they sell at or above MSRP.

My wife would love a reason to go explore Europe. I’d just have to get her a rental car to do so after she signs for the 911.

Whatever was in the past is an unknown today. We were due for a rail strike that was not averted but simply delayed, etc. so to make plans that far in advance based on what you did in the past is...

But as usual, YMMV
