Impressive gas milage.
Over the weekend I drove my 911, 500 miles to Washington DC and was surprised to see 30 mpg average for the trip. I was hoping for low 20’s, but did much better then I expected.
My 718 used to get 30 plus on long trips, but the 911? Wow…

You undoubtedly got good mileage, but I have found that my in-dash MPG indicator is optimistic most of the time. When I measure what the gauge says against the more reliable method of dividing the gallonage by the miles traveled since the last fill-up, I find that the actual MPGs are two or three less than what's indicated. I'm wondering whether others have concluded that, too, or whether my MPG gauge is off.

Yup, freeway at 72 mph actual (75 indicated) I get 29 mpg actual. Overall, in 10,700 miles I’ve averaged 21.6 mpg. I keep a spreadsheet on all my vehicles so variations in one fill up to another get reduced to an inconsequential fraction.
I drive in a fashion that I’d call spirited.

'20 C4S, I drove from Anchorage to Fairbanks this weekend, 360 miles each way. In Sport mode most of the way, pushed along pretty good. Under 18 mpg and I could not care less. The car is just so satisfying so much fine to drive.
