Default Can a family road trip in a 911? Yes, yes we can

Our first road trip takes us to Indianapolis for the Porsche Sportscar Together Fest ‘22. Drove 3 hours straight through and achieved 31.9mpg

Packed light, but advise using duffel bags next time.

Obligatory sunset photo

The iconic pagoda

GT car corral

The radio control cars took a beating by all the kids. Thanks to the volunteers that spent all day replacing control arms.

Lackluster kids area

Tribute to five PTS colors that they turned into ice cream bars

I love mint chocolate chip, but it’s no mint chocolate chip.

They actually stored ice cream in the front.

A Sport Classic in the flesh. All vehicles on display inside and outside were open for you to climb in.

PCNA rep came by and handed my kids these cute bears. I have part number if anyone is interested.

GT car corral, needs more GTS.

I think the event has a lot of maturing and growth to do in the future. It feels a lot like, there’s a race going on, but let’s find a way to get Porsche fans to come out.

If they can link up with Formula Drift and Hyperfest kind of crowd, it would push growth forward.

Nice trip and writeup! Glad you're getting to use the car to the fullest degree. And boy am I jealous of that Aerokit wing! Suncoast lists it as in stock, so I emailed and was told they actually do have them in stock. My wallet is a bit lighter but hopefully the wing shows up soon to make it worthwhile!

They’re just backless boosters. The bigger one is 48” and little one is 42” tall.

Please excuse all the snot on the panels and rear glass 😁

Glad you’re making good use of an unfortunate incident to get the aerokit wing. Funny thing, as I was pulling in to the event, I was flagged to come park in the GT car corral because of the wing. I pulled in, and drove over to another girl to explain that I was waved in, but I’m just a GTS. I’m also up to 1,100 miles now, I better slow it down. Winter is around the corner here in the Midwest, though.

It’s actually snot. He had a runny nose all weekend. Including on the rear glass, and I’m sure the race tex headliner. Funny you mention being choked out by trucks, as that exact thing happened at the children’s museum. I parked on the 3rd floor, at an end spot, all the way over to the line.

We come out, and a Dodge Ram parks over the line, leaving me 2 feet to get in.
