Is production of Targa 4s significantly down?

Is production of Targa 4s significantly down?
Ordered a Targa 4 in August 2021 in the mountain region, moved the order Feb 22 to an east coast dealer who gets many more 911 allocations. Speaking to the dealer on the east coast he shared that he has seen hardly any Targa allocations this year, his Targa 4 (not Targa 4S) waitlist has hardly seen any allocations.
Interested in understanding if Porsche has reduced Targa output, perhaps the US market is not seeing as many allocations, or maybe Zuffenhausen only gears up for Targas at certain times of year.
(I realize that wiring harnesses from the Ukraine have presented issues, but this doesn't seem specific to Targas).

I thought since the GTS came out, Targa allocations became GTS heavy.

I've been waiting for an allocation for about a year. My dealer swears they just haven't been getting them. I still think they've had a few and I assume they've sold them to those willing to pay more than I will but still. No doubt T4S allocations are very tough to come by

I believe the Targa 4 is the 2nd most rare 992 (C4 being the most rare). Kick that up to an S or a GTS and you should have more luck.

Targa 4 is the rarest of breeds normally, and much more so now. People who know more than I note, as above, that the GTS Targa models have been prioritized for MY 22. I got lucky scoring an allocation last year for a 22 Targa. My sales associate has not seen one at his dealer since.
Just go on the Porsche website and search for a new Targa 4. There are not any in the US. And there are only two pre-owned models, both at the same dealer and both way over MSRP.

Targa is a very low production car and holds value at a very high rate. Love the car but I would never by one. I was offered a Targa when I got my GTS allocation.

Targa 4 GTS definitely easier than Targa 4S, it’s a higher margin car so they are allocating more builds toward the GTS

I just got my Targa GTS 4 allocation after about a 6 month wait but I have a good relationship with this dealer. My understanding is that there are more GT3s being produced than this model but who knows. Now I need to finalize my config but I am all over the place.

Moderators - can we ban this dude that posted above, this is the 3-4th post him trying to grant some magical allocation - and this thread is a year old...

It sounds like you're trying to be a broker "work closely with Porsche dealers to assist clients" and that this is your business, which runs afoul of the RL rules.

If you are real, why not introduce yourself, the porsches you own in the intro thread. Get to know the people on the site a bit, and not be a troll.
Might be best to leave on your own...
