I have a few of the options on the sheet, a Dec '21 allocation, a July 4 freeze, but a July 18 true lock date (V250). Still sitting as a '22. I did notice TYD is still showing estimated production start 7/29, but when I called 1-800-PORSCHE their system is showing a 9/1 production start, 10/7 delivery.

It seems to me the cut off would be associated with the build date and not the allocation date. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Where does everyone find their VIN number? I can’t seem to locate one, or a place one might be filled in on my TYD Thank you.
As a data point, I have a build date starting 9/2 and completed on 9/9 for a GT3 and it is a MY22. Recently TYD updated to show shipping/port info with 9/16 on ship and 9/30 at port. Freeze for this car was on 7/15 from an allocation in Nov/Dec 21. Originally I was given a late June 22 allocation for a MY23 car Nov build and was asked if I wanted to swap for earlier slot, I said yes, and understand from call yesterday with SA that MY23 Nov build slot has not updated and car is in limbo for the time being, no progress. I however, and hopeful to take delivery early October... 'sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes he eats you'...

Regarding my 2022 GTS. My order was created 6/17/2022 and I got rolled over to 2023. My car was delivered to the dealership a couple days ago. The SA advised me that the 2022 rollover price protection needs to be approved by Porsche. Has anyone gone through this process, received approval from Porche and received the 2022 base MSRP?

Can’t answer your question but seeing ‘23s allocated in June getting delivered while my Dec ‘21 allocated ‘22 is still in production is quite depressing…but congrats on the delivery! Hope you get the pricing sorted out.

that sounds like a crock of ****.

the dealer can discount a car as much as they want. They don’t want to discount it, and are looking for Porsche to subsidize the discount. Putting the customer in the middle of it is poor customer service.

they should honor the price and deal with the pricing issue behind closed doors. We aren’t talking about a huge sum of money here.

Thank you - I suspect the same; however, I wanted to share to see if anyone else is experiencing the same.

that’s a “they problem” not a “you” problem.

as the customer, you were told a price. It should be honored. They need to take that up with Porsche. Not put you in the middle of it.

if I were the GM at that dealer, I’d be pissed.

File a consumer complaint with your state's attorney general's office, that's what I'd do after telling the dealer "look I don't want this to escalate but . . . ."

First I would get the dealership to put in an email the full price or agree you have the discount. I deal with the sale manager so I go to the "man" with these questions. We had a long talk about the price and I've got emails about pricing. The day I received the email about my new 2023 order and I called the SM. He politely told me "you're priced protected, Porsche called me this afternoon to explain the issues". With a scheduled 12/23/22 delivery he was concerned I'd pull the deal. So we are clear Porsche shows the full retail price and then make the correction to the dealers invoice after delivery. We the buyers never see the discounted price or sales price to the dealer. I have the power steering discount too. I've calculated the total discount at ~$6500 usd off 2023 sticker. The good thing about having 15 changes is all the build sheets with pricing for reference. It's easy to see the price change. IF you are dealing with a dealership that is playing games this is concerning. IF your name is on an allocation and you have a deposit you got the discount. Just call Porsche and ask. Ask them about the price protection on your allocation. If my dealer pulled that $hit I'd get my deposit and buy a Lambo or 2 C8's! See ya! I guess if they can run you off then it's $6500 in their pocket!

Thanks guys. I received the following text from my SA on 8/9/2022 after reaching out to him about the price protection "Good morning, I couldn't find anything in writing about that but I did ask our Regional Rep. and they confirmed such a price protection of the base MSRP. Good find!"

Now that the car is at the dealership, I was advised that the price protection needs to be approved by Porsche, was applied for and declined by Porsche. Has anyone actually received the price protection in the bill of sale or the final cost of the car with an order date on or about 6/17/2022 whose car was not on the sunken ship? I emailed my grievance to PCNA last night and have not yet received an acknowledgement of my email or a response to it. The car is scheduled for pick up Saturday so any information you could provide to help my effort will be greatly appreciated.

hm...seems fishy. My order went in 5/28. i think if you were scheduled for '22 and bumped to '23 by porsche, you'd qualify.
