-I just don’t believe the ‘23 is worth $60k more than my ‘17 purchase price.

have you driven a 992? It is worth $60k more

- I believe he market will have shifted from a Porsche sellers market by the time the car arrives.

Disagree. Will be at least two more years before you will see a new 911 on the lot at msrp looking for a buyer. Used ones will continue to have great retention value, however not at loftily levels seen in 2021.

- I will have FOMO as soon as I see the ‘24 and my ‘23 hasn’t yet arrived.

why?

- Some of my favorite 992 features are no longer getting delivered.

electric steering column? What else?

You’ve just made someone else out there very happy. No worries.

IMHO. The 992 is worth the premium over a 991. That being said, if you already have a 991, upgrade is a matter of personal decision and preference. Enjoy your 2017!

Re: Stock market, zero impact on my purchase decisions for things like cars. It doesn’t matter whether it’s up or it’s down. Life is short. If you want something and have the means, buy it.

It’s a base cab. He’ll be lucky if it’s not worth 60k in under 5 years.

He’s definitely doing the right thing objectively. If there’s no passion for that new car, it is pointless and wasteful.
