Started my car today and noticed the PCM had a faint outline of the display and would not turn on. Turned the vehicle off and locked the car and restarted but now the PCM is now blank. Drove home with the PCM blank. Can still hear the park assist when maneuvering the vehicle and reverse but nothing on the display.

Only other time I ran into this was the PCM froze with the backup camera on when I first got the vehicle and made a buzzing noise. Restarted my vehicle and jt fixed the glitch. This is on MY22 992. Any feedback appreciated and has anyone here experienced this issue?

 

Try disconnecting the battery.

 

I have a my22 and it has done this on a few occasions in 8 months but it always came back after a restart.

On another note there was an article in the WSJ et al. that Herbert Diess was ultimately fired from VAG due to software issues in the entire line up of VAG.

 

Mine died today driving home from the airport, then started back up about 3 minutes later just like nothing happened. I was highway cruising at the time. Weirdest thing ever.

 

My PCM hasn’t functioned properly since I picked the car up at PECATL. It’s been back to the dealer twice and still isn’t working properly (after the folks at PECATL couldn’t compete the sign on process).

Porsche needs to step up and replace ALL malfunctioning units now.

I’m not looking forward to another law firm getting $87M in fees while I get a $49 gift certificate for Porsche branded merchandise.

I’ve had 10 Porsches since 1991 and have loved them all but if they stiff me on this I’m done with the brand.
