I get a kick out of the car mags that accept advertising. MT would never bash a car like they did the NSX if it were not being discontinued. Their negatives are usually very subtle, but that was not the case with this NSX. Me thinks a secondary purpose of the article was to illustrate that they can be indeed harsh in their reviews.

This comment is not meant to take anything away from the GTS, which is indeed the proverbial "goldielocks' model of the 911.

they had it at 10.8@130, which is way way different than 11.1@125

I thought the same thing. Very different numbers but they did get 2.9 to 60. I was also unaware of that large weight difference. So much for the 992 being the overweight sports car.

Don’t worry - that’s coming as soon as we all get forced to drive EVs. A hybrid 911 is likely coming to at least some of the trims for the successor to the 992. Wait until you see how much weight that adds.

But hey at least eventually we won’t have evil ICE engines anymore. Oh but don’t look into lithium mining and battery recycling…

Thank you. This is def where I got that from. And is waaaaayyyy diff. Wonder what the discrepancy is. Trap speed doesn’t care about the 1 foot rollout.

The new NSX had a tough act to follow . The former car was an icon and this could not live up to a repeat . In contrast Porsche has been hitting home runs with the 911 for decades . "There is no substitute" .

Do such base, tired and lazy assertions ever get boring to say? Having difficulty distinguishing between carbon intensive production vs product lifecycle? I have both kinds in my garage. I make sure my toddler is not in the garage when I’m idling/warming up my 992. Don’t really care about that with the exhaustless one.

I too have a EV and (several) ICE vehicles. I am slowly converting over to EV. My wife’s comment, after driving her new EV for a few weeks…”I will never go back” (to ICE). ICE vehicles will still be around a long time. Some people embrace change, others find comfort in the past. it is, what it is.

While intended as satire, I don’t think the following falls too far from the truth in how some people view EV’s.

I love the 992 and enjoyed mine far more than most, but I respect the NSX for what it is -- handbuilt and exclusive, with tiny production numbers. The NSX has presence and isn't anonymous like a 911. In an NSX, you will never see yourself pulling into Cars & Coffee. It's a bargain for the price-point.

0.1s here, 0.1s there. Meh. Who cares. If being absurdly quick everywhere is what's important to you, buy an EV.

I still regret not picking an NSX up when American Honda was putting $35k on the hood. The NSX is a future classic. If every S Type wasn't already sold, I'd be probably get in line.
