992 GTS v170 status?
Hi all,
New to the community and first time 911 to-be (hopefully) owner here. It I was able to get an allocation for a 992 GTS, dealer tells me delivery should be before EOY 2022, but I am skeptical. Would love an opinion.
I went in yesterday and was able to build the car with the SA, I signed and placed a deposit on the allocation. I believe I have a real allocation and I'm not just "in line" since I have received a commission number and a v170 status. However, I'm skeptical since the build has no v200 status, no freeze date, and no delivery date. They are telling me the "allocation month" 08.22 but wont tell me when I can expect an updated delivery date or even freeze date. The dealer insists I should receive before end of year but I cant tell if they are just blowing smoke.
Has anyone been in this same situation before? Do I have an allocation?
Thanks in advance!

V170/180 This mean the order is being reviewed by Porsche because of a special request. It could be as simple of specifying the color of your stitching, to Paint to Sample color requests, to full CXX options. This typically comes after V200 if a special request was made when your build was submitted.

With a V170 status I believe you have a real allocation but you may have to change an option.

Thanks, I haven't been informed of anything wrong with my configuration by the dealer but they pointed out it could have to do with production delays at the factory. Hopefully it's just that. What I find strange is the lack of a freeze date.
Here's a screenshot from the dealer.

V170 means nothing more than order entered. V200 mean accepted and in line. When you get the car will depend on options you installed and if any constraints apply. I was V200 and 2 days before lock back to V170. Porsche has stopped the line due to QC and outbound shipping issues (Dock Strike). You get a 992 most likely by the end of the year. Slim chance maybe a 2023. BTW look at the top right, Porsche has to look at the order.

FGM posted he has an allocation. I'm sure the dealer is telling the truth. I talked to my SM and he said the the line for 911 and 718 has stopped for QC issues. I'd bet Porsche is running out of places to park all theses cars too.

Any more info on the line shutdown due to QC issues?

My SA told me last week mine went from v200 to v170. He said it was happening to most of the 911's he had in is system. I get no info from TYD. Was supposed to be built by 09-02-22. Hoping they can get it finished by October 19th when I am suppose to pick it up at the factory in Leipzig.

As an update, I called 1-800-PORSCHE. They confirmed it isn't an issue with my order and its likely due to factory issues. On their end they see a September production date but on the dealer side it shows TBD. I sense it will be pushed backed.
