I've never seen anything custom for Porsche seats. I think your two best options would be coating your leather with something such as CQuartz leather to try and protect it as much as possible. Other option would be something like https://www.kctool.com/hazet-196-6-2...eat-cover-set/. That is made for mechanics working on your car.
You also could reach out to Exclusive Option, they do a lot of high end leather work for Porsches. They may be able to make something that would fit over your stock seats that is more form fitting and actually made out of leather.
I drive my C4S in the winter. There is no substitute for the warmth and comfort of Sheep Skin when driving in the cold, whatever model of car you drive.
If you have difficulty getting in and out of your Porsche, you will find that you can more easily slide in and out with sheep skin. This could be a benefit if you have physical limitation and still want to drive this car.
an aside I am dismayed by the lack of maturity and innuendo that some rennlist members resort to in their responses to posts they don't like
This site is most valuable for sharing information and photos of our amazing vehicle. There is absolutely no shame and there should be
no hesitation on your part or anyone to post concerns and present optional equipment.
Below are photos and contact information for a custom fitted Sheep Skin cover for the 992.
Those are awesome. BUT! You have to add the obligatory AUTOMATIC seatbelts to complete the look!
I can't wait to see here reaction when you tell her she can't sit in the car without a mattress protector-like seat cover. And then you are going to have issued with he arms getting "goo" on the door panels.
My GTS Cab with 18 way seats is due here in two weeks. My wife, who is an active outdoorsy kind of girl, also has very sun-sensitive skin; she wears a lot of goo to protect herself. I am looking for a seat cover to protect her chair from the goo. I have found any number of "universal" seat protectors, but none so far that are specifically fit to any of the 911 seats. Anyone have any leads for a good fit that they can share?
I found this on Amazon. It is very large, covering everything, and will allow your wife to be herself, without worry of affecting the seats. The item is easily maintained by regular washing .
Thank you all for a bunch of great suggestions, and a couple of head-scratchers as well. I think I'll start by buying her a couple of high-SPF shirts and gloves, and see where we go from there, figuratively and literally. I got myself a couple of Butler Maps for Northern New England and Northern Mid-Atlantic, so I'll start plotting break-in routes soon.
Don't let her in the car unless she wears gloves. Even if the seats are protected, she will get the sun screen on the door handles, door sides, center rest, etc. A month later it turns white and is a b**** to get off.
