Default Seat protectors?

My GTS Cab with 18 way seats is due here in two weeks. My wife, who is an active outdoorsy kind of girl, also has very sun-sensitive skin; she wears a lot of goo to protect herself. I am looking for a seat cover to protect her chair from the goo. I have found any number of "universal" seat protectors, but none so far that are specifically fit to any of the 911 seats. Anyone have any leads for a good fit that they can share?

There are some sheepskin covers that you can get specifically for the 911 but that is all I know. And I'll catch a lot of grief for suggesting it.

Interesting thought. Might be nice for cooler evening drives, but how would sheepskin feel in warmer weather? And what about keeping it clean?

If your seats are leather, just wipe the seats down. Should be fine. If alcantara, you’ll want something.

EDIT - I can’t imagine a cab w sheepskin. The thought is making me chuckle. I was rocking big sheepskin in my 7 series.

Sheepskins are supposed to be good in winter and summer - in summer you don't stick to them and they don't absorb the radiant energy from the sun near as much. You will loose any benefit from heated or ventilated seats though. You could probably get a simple custom seat cover made from an upholsterer or from the same folks who manufacture the sheepskins I would think.

Here is a prior thread on sheepskins... not a popular accessory: https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1272...at-covers.html

Use a Costco giant beach towel that you can bring inside and wash when the trip is over (assuming it's an outdoorsy gooey trip).

If it is a nice out to dinner or other non-gooey trip, just leave the seat as is.

I think seat covers would get over goofed eventually and you'd have to wash them or get new ones. You're going to have to clean the arm rest and center console cover eventually as well if her arms are gooed up.

It will work just fine, keep an eye on it and use some cleaner (light touch of Ivory soap bar on a damp microfiber towel) and a damp one to wipe after using that one.

My bride also pokes the roof when she sees a pididdle coming. Now that you all have me thinking, I might have to insist she wear gloves as well.

I drive my C4S in the winter. There is no substitute for the warmth and comfort of Sheep Skin when driving in the cold, whatever model of car you drive.
If you have difficulty getting in and out of your Porsche, you will find that you can more easily slide in and out with sheep skin. This could be a benefit if you have physical limitation and still want to drive this car.

Just curious, can you see benefit from the seat heating with the sheepskins on?

My seat heating is still working but I don't feel the ventilation feature with the Sheep skin covers. And, the seat remains cool even in direct sunlight.

Just re-read your thread from last year... I got another good chuckle out of it that already made my Sunday.

I've never seen anything custom for Porsche seats. I think your two best options would be coating your leather with something such as CQuartz leather to try and protect it as much as possible. Other option would be something like https://www.kctool.com/hazet-196-6-2...eat-cover-set/. That is made for mechanics working on your car.

You also could reach out to Exclusive Option, they do a lot of high end leather work for Porsches. They may be able to make something that would fit over your stock seats that is more form fitting and actually made out of leather.
