Still a ‘22 with a freeze point back on 6/20.
I was jealous of those that had their ‘22 GTS delivered in March and April. Mine felt late, arriving late May, but dang do you guys have it even worse. Two months after your car is delivered, it’ll be “old”.

As a quick update from here in Japan, SA finally got back to me a month after being told there would be an unspecified delay. I was originally given a June allocation with August build (last of the MY22s) and November delivery, but SA informed that due to semiconductor shortage and other supply chain issues, all builds slated for August have been pushed back an estimated 2-3 months. He confirmed that my car would now become a MY23 and that they will be pressing Porsche Japan to honor the MY22 pricing since my build locked as a 22 (along with cash down way back in Nov 2021). This means a likely Jan or Feb delivery (no Christmas surprise for my dad who's visiting in December and knows that I've dreamed of having a 911 since I was 3 years old). I asked if they could add back in a couple options that I was told would push my build back ahead of the initial freeze (Aerokit, Race-Tex sun visors), along with the prep for roof transport option that I forgot to tick. Still waiting on any official info from Porsche Japan, and the SA reiterated that the new timelines are estimates subject to change and that in his long experience working for Porsche he's never experienced delays like the current ones.
So I got some good news and some bad news from my SA. Given the delay, I was able to add the Aerokit and Race Tex visors back in, which I had initially removed ahead of freeze date due to stop orders. The bad news is that Bose now has a 4 week delay and full leather interiors have an 8 week delay, so while my delivery has already been pushed to Jan/Feb, it could end up being March/April if those individual part delays continue into the new year. Frankly, as someone who ordered the car in November 2021, I have waited so long that I just don't even care anymore as long as I can get exactly what I want, which I think this final spec is precisely.

Side note: the delays are apparently so bad that some people after me had orders outright canceled and deposits refunded, which SA also said was a first for him. Crazy times!

First it was the electric steering column and now it’s Bose and leather….. Crazy! I had a deposit on a turbo but after my salesman said the likelihood of me getting a 23 model was slim, I pulled out and said enough.

I can see why people are just over this process and have moved onto other cars….. Not a good time to wait! Good luck and I hope you get everything you want in your build and I’d wait it out if I where you…. So close to getting your perfect car!

How do you find out if you get a new freeze date? Ive been delayed a few times but told my freeze date is still the same. Id like to ideally make some changes if for example aero kit was available again? Thanks.

You just gotta contact your SA, but if something like freeze date changes, they would theoretically call you first. Not sure about the situation elsewhere, but my SA told me that for the Japan market, Aerokit is still on a stop order *except* for GTS orders.

One of the best updates that you can ask for…

According to TYD, my car went into production on 9.5 and finished 9.8. Doesn’t even make sense to me but I called my SA and he confirmed that Athena is built!

wish me luck on 10.7 delivery

My car went into Production in May and was due to complete in October like a lot of other folks but just jumped into ready for shipping this morning. Seems like a lot of other folks will get the same update as whatever "stop" is resolved this week

Good news for me this week. My GTS is on the Siem Aristotle with delivery to my dealer at the end of the month but I won't believe it, until I see it. It's been a long journey. I locked in my build in Oct of 2022 with a anticipated delivery date of May 2022. I received my VIN back in Feb. Received my production email with pictures from Porsche in June and have been waiting ever since.

C2 was scheduled into production in July but postpone till last week when received VIN No. on last Tuesday. And received V260 status this Monday.
When will my car be finish in production after receiving V260....? How long will it take usually ? Hope some experts can help me the answer ! Thanks.

Seems the delays continue....cars in production being delayed, cars scheduled for production being delayed, and yet some cars are being produced in just a few days (in this thread a 9/5 start, 9/8 finish).

It is interesting.. I've had a VIN since May/June so I wonder if that has something to do with it.
