I have only just noticed the following behaviour and I wonder whether this is normal or not.
When I put the hood on my car down, I usually leave the windows in the up position. Today, for a change, I dropped the front windows down fully. When I parked up (leaving the hood open and windows down) and opened the drivers door, the door window lifted by a few inches; it then went down again when I closed the door. The passenger door did the same thing.
Is this normal? If so, any idea why it behaves this way?
As far as I am aware, the window endpoints are all good as the automatic open/close works fine etc.
Thanks everyone. After further searches I did find a thread discussing this in relation to a coupe; my bad in assuming it was a cab thing. It makes sense that it does this to "protect" the windows when closing the door. I found that my 997 ended up with a rattling drivers window (which I partially resolved) which is probably down to the shock of closing door with the window in fully down position.
