Default Wind Noise

2022 GTS coupe, no sunroof. Loving the car so far, but hearing wind noise from top of driver window at highway speeds. Anyone encounter this? Thanks.

I am not sure if it is the same wind noise, but lots of people have found that these help: https://www.vividracing.com/-p-15413...xoCvosQAvD_BwE

I've never owned a car with frameless windows that didn't produce wind noise at the front/top of the windows if you go fast enough. On my 335 and C63 "fast enough" was about 65, 70ish on the S5. On the 911 it's closer to 80. I'm calling that a victory.

I have a Cab and my Wife took her first drive with me out for Lunch on Sunday. She ran inside to get one of those things to put her hair in a Pony tail because of the wind. I did not take the top down but did have the side windows down. She did not need to put her hair in a pony tail and she did say the the GTS for some reason or the another creates less wind than my 2018 GT3 with side windows down. I will say she is correct with that statement and do not know why that is the case but I have noticed this same phenomenon.

I also have wind noise on my '21 Carrera S. I hear it on the rear edge of the front driver's side window. Hope to hear a solution to this in the near future.
It's a real bummer since I spec'd the light wt noise insulated glass.

Same... I hear it as low as 50 mph. The RS5 I just traded and even my Z cars didn't have the noise at this low of a speed. I too wonder if the buffeting diffusers would help?

I don't think so. For a while I only had one installed because the passenger side unit broke while I was installing the first set. There was no difference in wind noise from one side to the other, nor was there a difference once I received and installed the replacement.

I've never owned a car with frameless windows where I couldn't hear some wind noise at speed, but I might be heading to the dealer for something unrelated this week so I'll ask one of them to ride along with me and see if what I'm hearing is something they consider normal.

For those who can't hear it, I wonder if it's just being drowned out by the tire roar?

My 2021 C4S has such wind noise at 45-55mph. It seems coming from the driver side mirror area. So I thought it is because of the shape of the mirror. But the 2022 TT doesn’t, even the mirror looks the same to me. Kind of weird

Wondering if those with wind noise need to reset the window limits? Check the manual.

Page 35 of the manual, for those looking. According to these instructions, resetting the stop points is only possible when one touch window operation is unavailable, which occurs after the battery has been disconnected or if a window is unable to close in one-touch mode twice within ten seconds due to an obstruction. It is done simply by using manual operation (i.e. not one-touch mode, but still fully pulling the switch) to fully close the window, then briefly pulling up all the way again, and finally using one-touch mode to fully open the window.

I'll be the test dummy to use my hand as an obstruction and force my windows to recalibrate and let you all know how it goes

with all due respect, wind noise is a flaw, road noise is a 911 feature…
