I am currently running a Stage 2 93(ish) Tune from M-Engineering in my 22 C2S and I love it. I normally use a higher octane fuel by adding some race gas. It would be a lot more convenient using E85 since the Sunoco is right down the street.
E85 allows greater power output because of the inherent advantage of alcohol relative to cooler combustion temps. The downside is that MPG suffers terribly. If you don't care, it doesn't matter. But if you think E85 will deliver comparable fuel economy to E10 (a travesty IMO), much less 93 octane pure gasoline, you don't understand basic thermodynamics.

yea I am fully aware it knocks 30 ish percent off MPG. Not a big deal since E is still cheaper than my race gas blend even with the loss. It’s also more available.
I just switched to e85 on my last fill up, from the previous 93 m-Eng stg2 tune on my C2S. I went to a known high quality e85 station and revved my car till tank was just about empty lol, before filling up. Flashed over to new tune and it ran great and smooth right from the start, no issues.
Only have done a couple of hard pulls on it but it “feels” a little scarier in the top end, tho it can be hard to tell a +40-50 hp difference. Getting my new ps4s tires tomorrow so I’ll be able to actually do some measured 60-130 pulls to see what the real difference is.
M-eng did say they recommend cycling 93 every few fill ups, so that can be a bit of a pain. Will see how long I actually stay with e85 or if it’s something I just use temporarily to get some record times before switching back to 93, being my daily driver.

I am curious about E85 but it seems a bit of a hassle to me. Plus the fact that you never know how high quality of an ethanol blend you are getting with E85 kinda puts me off

When I asked them on that thread if it should be done, it was never answered. When I emailed them that’s when I got that reply.
i just assume like every other E85 platform that goes thru 93 flushes (BMW’s, Audi, GTR,etc), Porsche would too. Lubricating properties of 93 keep injectors from clogging up over time. But that also happens less (maybe not at all) if it’s driven daily, but I’d probably still go thru the cycles.
