Hi Devon Racer,
I have just over 3700mi and loving it! How are you enjoying yours?
I do have the back seats, but the dogs are too small to see out the window (mini-Schnauzers), so they prefer to travel on the back of BMW bread-van with large soft pillow lifting the boot-floor level

As you may recollect I don't have mine due to the headlight theft, so back waiting another 5 months to get my hands on one.
New allocation September freeze date, October build approx13th, End of November delivery UK.
I have two grand children both under 2, I was planning as with my damaged car to go without as like Wilder I am trying to keep the car the way I want as a pure driving machine. So was interested to learn what you chose ? Are you planning having young in the rear?
In my case they I think need to be at least 4 years old to sit in the back with a booster seat.
I have both an old 5 series Touring V8 and an M2 CS which is brilliant and has four (sort of seats) but much better than a 911.
I am jealous of you have so much fun, but look foreword to catching up soon.
Now I am torn on having to re spec my new allocation but don't think I will deviate too much from my original. Definitely sticking with IGM, but may drop FAL.
I am borrowing from the dealers a GTS Targa for the weekend next week. I will test this over my driveway to see if FAL is really necessary?
I am then doing the Silverstone Driving Experience at the end of the month and will hopefully get to try a car with RAS to put that to bed one way or the other ?
I skipped it on my original car, and inclined to do so again. I was very interested to note that the ST just announced does not have it. That might be telling us something? Thanks for your reply and good luck and continue to enjoy whilst we all can just do so ? Gov interference permitting!!!
Best DR.

Hi @DR, sorry for opening the wound... I do recall the headlights-gate!?
Well we don't have any kids, as we ran out of biological clock, so we have fur kids. However, hearing from other 911 owners, the rear seats are good for kids 4-10, depending on amount of (GM-modified) food they eat and how fast they grow.
Re specs, I did consider FAL, but I tested a loaner in my driveway and thankfully it was not necessary. in my mind the most dangerous are driveways with dips for draining water, as front tends to dip and connect the driveway on the other side. To avoid it, I approach curbs/driveways at an angle to use stabiliser-bar preventing the dipping. So far, so good. Re. the RAS, I am not at a level to exploit its virtues and as you said if S/T doesn't have one as a street car for enthusiasts, its safe to assume that I don't need it either. The 992T is packed with cool options already, if I was you I would just personalise it for your self indulgent.
The 5-series V8 and M2 are awesome vehicles in its own right... you will transition well into 992. I wish you fast built and delivery, so you can enjoy it with the rest of us. I have to say that its my 3rd P-car and I was not entirely convinced of changing Cayman GTS 4.0 for 992 T. I did it so that my wife has more enjoyable ride as a passenger, as I love going to Europe in summer. While for me alone I would select the C-GTS 4.0 anytime, however for touring, the 992T beats it hands-down.

They installed the rack for me before I picked up the car, but going forward it will go on and off on a regular basis.
I'm pretty sure you need to have the roof rack preparation done at the factory to install a rack. There are threads discussing this. An alternative would be a Seasucker rack.
