Pic location; Foothills Pkwy. Spent Tuesday flogging this baby all over the Smokies. Did Cherohala, 2 laps of Moonshiner 28, multiple tail of the dragon laps, {like 6}, Foothills Pkwy.
Ranking: 1 Moonshiner 28. 2. Foothills Pkwy. 3. Tail of the Dragon. 4. Cherohala.
Hwy 28 is a hoot. Nice mix of low speed corners, where on exit, the 992 just shines with her squat and GO!. Mixed with some smooth 70/80 mph sweepers, and mix of cambers and radius.
Dragon is mostly brake-throttle, brake-throttle. Don't get me wrong, loved flogging the brakes, and the weight transfer.
You can get a little rowdy speed wise on Foothills Pkwy.
In the sideshot pic, you can see the left rear quarter damage done by the trucker on Monday.

Love to see that @NastyHabits! I read that TN is increasing police patrols and speed traps along the tail / nearby as of Oct 1. How was the police presence while you were there? I'm guess weekday vs weekend and time of day helps.

By the way, the best road up there is unquestionably Wayah Rd, for next time

Silver (I presume that is the color) is a tough color to match. Make sure you get a highly recommended body shop.

Tks for the tip. Zero Johnny Law sightings. Running Uniden R7, so if they were transmitting, would have gotten an alert. Laser or just sitting without radar on, toast.

I was just up in the eastern TN, western NC, and northern GA area in May on a 10 day motorcycle trip. Absolutely the best riding roads in the USA (I've been alternating yearly trips with a riding buddy to the Rockies and the Smokies for the last 17 years). I 100% agree that Wayah Rd. is a must do--very technical with lots of wooded sections and a beautiful lake (if you dare take your eyes off the road). We didn't see too many LEO's, but always a good idea to be more careful on the weekends.

I cringed when I saw these photos. I'm assuming his insurance is going to cover all of that. Can you let us know how much it is going to be. I'm just curious.

Also, can you comment on your side skirts. Did you order that at the time of purchase or did you get that painted after the fact? Any regrets or are you glad you got them.
