Beautiful ride! Love it. One thing I don’t understand and would love some clarity is why cover up the plate number to post on here? Scratching my head to come up with a reason because it’s visible to anyone in the world while driving. Thanks!

In short, privacy. Be it from thieves with access to DMV records (unlikely but not impossible) or state agencies seeing modifications that are illegal and pursuing from this info. I see both as low risk, but still blank mine out.

I don’t get it either and have never covered my plates on any posts. My license plate is the most public part of my car. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people see it attached to my car every day and can make pictures of it.

I’ve often scratched my head about this as well. My only conclusion is that some people might think that the license plate might be used to link their username in RL to their real life identity. Which people using pseudonyms might not like. In your cases, seems you’re both using your real names…

Beats me.

A couple of months behind and pics are not great but took delivery in November. Moved from a 2020 718 GTS 4.0, which was an amazing car. Would have kept it if I had room in the garage (my Alfa 4C is taking up my other spot). But eventually, it was tough to have as a daily. Sits low, very tight, more road noise, more engine noise. Yes, all very good things and I appreciated all of them but needed something a bit "softer" for my daily. This was always my dream car growing up so had to pull the trigger. Got an allocation (still not sure how that happened), built, ordered and received a couple of days before Thanksgiving. Loving every bit of this and the top is only up if it is raining!

Enjoy!

Its awesome! I have a Ruby Star Neo arriving here in Toronto March/April and I keep coming back to this contrast and perhaps a different wheel design.

Thanks! Yes - factory painted. Decided to go with these over the standard, Turbo centerlocks for a couple of reasons. I like the "fill" that these give more than the Turbo wheels. And I do track this just a little (couple of events per year) and I didn't want to tote around a huge torque bar to tighten the wheels!
