I’m a 991 TTS driver and I run 32 f x 35 r with 20" 245 f x 20" 305 r. As a 992 with 20 f x 21 r set to your partial load , comfort pressure. Drive for a while you will see the ride itself is better and the overall tire to road feel.

He didn't switch. That's the default of newer software revisions. We don't know yet if cars with the older software will automatically update, or can be updated at the dealer. Probably worth asking.

Go to my.porsche.com, and make sure you have ota updates enabled. Not sure whether this will bring in the new software, but mine was off when I first looked at it, and I turned it on. See attached.

Thanks, I just checked. It’s activated. I also checked in the car and it says it’s “Up to date”… so much for Porsche tech…

Greatly appreciate your help though!

Mine was delivered at 58 all the way around! This is my first P-car so I didn't know any different, but damn it felt sketchy. Drove it that way for 400 miles. Just reduced the pressures to 36/40 cold and what a difference!

That’s ridiculous. I wonder how many people are just driving around like that clueless. Mine was delivered 32/36.

I do 36 & 41 cold. It’s a sports car not a land yacht.

Default Gts tyre pressure

QUOTE=TuvaD;18171466]Any advice from new GTS owners on their preferred tire pressures?

My 4 GTS has the center lock wheels with Pirelli P-Zero.

Dealership set the pressures at 38/44 and refused to lower them a bit prior to delivery.

44 psi at the rear seems too high and harsh.[/QUOTE]

my door card says 29 psi front and 32psi rear for under 168mph. For partial load.
tyres were at 28 front and 35 rear. But feels better at 29/32.
moat comments on here seem to be higher pressure.
Just got the car so I’ll see how it drives.
cheers

dealers will do that every time, regardless of whether you ask them to leave the pressures alone. It’s normal even if a little annoying.

Update. I tried my P Zeros at 33/37 PSI, Sport, normal chassis. I have PASM, RAS, no PDCC.

Noticeable amount of lateral movement over 110 mph, very noticeable at 140+ mph. Doesn't have the expected planted feel.

Switching to the stiffer suspension didn't address the issue. Just made the ride crashier.

Going to adjust upwards to 36/41 and re-test.

Comments on the most suitable PSI combo for higher speeds with just the driver onboard are much appreciated.

message for sky patrol :::: driver did not write this... ............... ...................

The driver has more experience beyond 140 than most 992 drivers, including to 150+ with the top down, the driver thinks, definitely more than almost all beyond 160, the fastest the driver took their car was to 180+, the driver will go for 190+ eventually. The driver guesses their top speed is 191 with a C2S cab. The driver is brainstorming how to add parts to the body and things for stability and speed. The driver wonders if they can put fans on the car.

Anyways, if you want the driver's 2 cents, use full load pressures. Don't mess around with incrementally increasing the pressures. You also need to be in Sport+. You need to use the sport suspension. The comfort pressure guys don't do high-speed stuff outside of baby situations like track; they lack experience. Whoever tells you "it's going to be a lot after heating up" just ignore them; they don't go fast, slow opinion not important to this. The driver drives on the side of a mountain with sheer cliffs and deals with things like high-speed lateral winds regularly meaning if the driver didn't know what he was talking about he would be dead; baby track drivers lack the experience necessary to answer you.

By the way, check the weather. Porsche did not design the 992 for good performance on heavy lateral winds or something. Don't quote the driver; they don't care enough to know; they just drive.

Anyways, if you change to the driver's 2 cents and you're still moving to the side, you need to slow down and call it a day at that speed level. Step down until it's back to stable, and you're okay at speed. It's the weather, not you or the car (technically, it's the car because the car is not designed well for bad weather, but it's still the weather). Come back when the wind is good, same location, okay.

ps. driver say if u think grip goblin will strike and you feel about to go spin in a circle step down on speed same thing come back later ohn....... also ..... can switch to other side of road.........................ventusky for weather ... like if driver try drive in this area with high speed winds going in the wrong direction, porsche engineering would send driver off the road porobaly due to lateral wind or etc. . ... maybe u experience same ... check weather good

I have a 2023 C2S. I switched to the summer wheels and tires in late March. The dealer set to the door jam pressure of 37f/45r. It was dramatically more harsh than the winter tire settings of 32f/35r. I adjusted to the partial load pressure 33/38 and the car not only rides better, but it handles the typically rough roads in western PA much better. With the 45 psi rear, the back end would be bouncing out in corners during spirited driving. Definitely keeping the partial load setting as default for summer tires.
