Default LED-Matrix Design Headlights in Black vs standard

I have 54 days until my build locks and now I’m second guessing my headlight choice. Right now I have the standard matrix lights chosen but I’m wondering if I should change to the black. My build is chalk with most gloss black options selected. I didn’t think it was noticeable on the configurator and didn’t feel like paying $750 to black out the lights but now I’m not so sure. I’d maybe swap gloss black mirror base for the black lights to keep the price the same.

Does anyone have any good side by side pics?

here’s my build code http://www.porsche-code.com/PNHJNHK9

With that color and the gloss back accents, I would choose the black headlights.

yeah that’s kind of my question. The standard headlights seem pretty dark on the inside already, just not black. It’s really hard to tell from pictures what they both look like.

I'm pretty sure it is the light housing that would be black or silver, but someone can confirm. I'd go black

Just curious why do you want the matrix? It’s disabled in USA…

Compared to the overall price of the car just pay the extra for black so it matches the rest of the trim and have peace of mind.

What if you try to save money, get the car and it doesn’t match? Gonna bother you every-time you see it. If you want to fix it after the fact new LED Matrix headlights are ~5k.

This is a no-brainer for me, tick that black headlight box.

It’s standard on the Turbo S so I don’t think you have a choice.

The Chalk really benefits from black accents. After ordering my car (Chalk GTS Targa), I saw a Chalk Base 911 Coupe and was left a bit flat. But the Targa GTS has a lot more black to contrast (Roof, bar, trims, etc.) and I really am happy with the Chalk in this trim.

I just looked at mine, which are regular PDSL+. There is not much black in there, most of interior housing is black, a very narrow ring around and a small portion below the center light are not. Maybe I am not agreeing with the all black. Sometimes, too much black without any tiny contrast does not look all that good. All black reminds me of the murdered out car's and that does not look good in my mind. JTBH - I have not seen an all black on the 992 in person.

After spending over 200K I would not eliminate one option to pay for another $750 option. It is not an either or at that level.

This is helpful. I'm assuming this is the black version right?
