I got quoted $1500 for opticoat 7 year. I think 2 hours of paint correction included, any more than that was extra. This is at a reputable place in northern Va near DC, so not THE most expensive market but uo there.

i did mine on my own ...its a full day of paint correction before you get to the coating , and you need all the equipment (buffers, pads, towels, polish, coating etc..) when you add all that up having pro do it for $1500-$2K isn't that much more ....and its probably better

Do it yourself. You can spend $130 for the ceramic (ISL) and a topper (EXO) from Gtechniq and give 3 hours to your car.
Paint prep would be around 4, 5 hours and $600 of equipment and supplies for a good Rupes polisher and pads, with some Menzerna polishes.
Watch some Obsessed Garage YouTube videos before trying it and it is really easy. Have a few beverage while doing it and make a weekend out of it.
That price seems really high for having someone else do it.

What constitutes a warranty claim?
And whatever constitutes a warranty claim, how does one submit it? Do you go to your installer? What if he/she is no longer around? And what if the product maker (i.e. Opticoat) said it's not a product defect but (1) user error or (2) application (i.e., installer) error or (3) both?
Here's their list of warranty limitations:

In other words... there is no warranty
