Default Heritage Design Package Classic

I'm super excited about this package. I think the black/cognac is perfect for my next build. I still haven't seen anything official on which models it will be available on and poking around the configurator I don't think its on there yet. Does anybody know which models it'll be on? I think I read someplace either "most 911 models" or "some 911 models"

That is the default interior on the Sport Classic. Not sure where else it will be available. And is not compatible with Ventilated Seats.

Yep thats why I was so stoked when they said it will be available on other models... figured they'd keep it exclusive to the SC but not so.

As much as I love ventilated seats I'll sacrifice them for this interior... and the fabric won't get quite as hot as leather anyways.

Will my dealer be pissed if I give up my order (on ship) and wait for this? They will be happy to sell my car with a nice adm surely

I still have no idea why people are getting all worked up over a manual Carrera with a ducktail and a graphics package. Their is nothing stopping you from putting number 69 on your existing car, and keeping the ventilated seats.

It’s a manual Turbo, not a manual Carrera. That’s why.

A manual Carrera with the M Engineering tune beats a de-rated Turbo everyday.

Not really. Even a Carrera S with M Engineering's most powerful E85 tune does not come close to touching a stock turbo S. While the Sport Classic has a detuned turbo engine, it still has its 3.7L of displacement and, like with all Porsches, punches well above it's rated power. Case in point... the GTS with just 30 more hp and 15 ft/lb of torque than a S, yet has much better performance than what a mere 30 hp bump would suggest.

But, yeah, from a value perspective and availability perspective, I am very happy with my manual S.

to be fair... the car will be limited so they never expected it to have mass appeal to the type of buyer that tunes their motors. I'm a fan (assuming you can de-spec the number decals) and would happily buy one at msrp if that were reality which it isn't. In the meantime, and the point of this thread, is will I be able to spec that interior on a carrera S or targa 4s. For the purposes of my next order I'm not going for all out performance. More interested in style for a daily driver/date night/ weekend cruiser. Any of the above has plenty of performance for me to have fun and I think that interior is killer.

The 992 is the most modern Porsche you can buy. Why people insist on going overboard with "retro" with a car like this is a type of moronic act that I will never understand.
You can have your retro - but just a "kiss" of it, not that stupid first picture.

Really love how classic and contemporary designs mix. Simple and elegant looking!

Does anyone have pictures of how doorsills look like if extended heritage package is chosen? Configurator shows them as black but some pictures have them cognac. To make it more confusing, for example new 911 S/T that has the same package has those door sills leather but in black not cognac.

Mine will be here in a couple weeks and I’ll tell you. Configurator shows it in black but pics I’ve seen of actuals cars have it in cognac. Wouldn’t be surprised if people were thrashing the cognac there and complaining so Porsche has swapped to black. We’ll see
