Comfort Seat (14-way) vs Sports Seats Plus (18-way)
Hello 992 people, any one know the real difference between these two seats besides the extended bolsters on backrest/shoulder support described on the configurator? Are they the same seat except extended bolsters?

Not quite true. If you are more muscular I have no idea how you would fit comfortably in 18 way seats. My back could just not fit in comfortably no matter what, but I am also 6’5” so maybe my torso was not what they designed for?? The 14 ways are great for me

Thanks for the input. Did you felt any differences on the bottom on the seat? Is the 14-way more cushioned on the butt/thigh area?

sorry no input there as I was too focused on my back so was not pay attention to seat. I have heard people with Kardashian sized asses do not like 18s either

I did hear that Ventilation option do make seat firmer...thanks for the input. I'm going with the GTS Convertible, I think I will go with the 14-way just to be on the safe side. We got some big torso in the family as well. Not planning on tracking this 992 anytime soon, more for open-top Los Angeles weekend cruising.

I tried both the 14-Way and the 18-Way seats and was happy with either/both. But She Who Must Be Obeyed has back issues. She said the 18-Way seats were the "Correct" seats and so that's what I got. I'm quite pleased with them and do not think the seat ventilation/cooling makes the seats uncomfortable in any way.

I have the 18 way sport seats in My 22 C4S and they are perfect. We ordered the 14 way comfort seats for my wife’s 911 cab. It gets here in about 3 weeks so I will be able to compare them pretty well. She has back issues so hopefully we went the right way

Seats are very personal preference. The carbon buckets are actually shockingly comfortable for me (and a lot of folks) but a huge pita in a daily driver as getting in and out is very annoying. But my shape is just right for them, and it’s a lot easier to drive hard, as well as providing a lot more tactile feedback from the car.

you should try to find some cars with both seats and try them out, but if you are normal sized… even somewhat heavier, the 18 ways should fit perfectly fine. If you are a big guy, 14 ways may work better.

The 14 and 18 ways feel exactly the same from a firmness standpoint. The 14 ways, to me, feel very wide… like I’m sitting on a bench with almost no side support and I have a fairly wide torso. Besides the firmness, the 14 way seats do not feel sporty at all. I felt like I was flopping around in the seat. The 18 ways hold me perfectly in place without the side bolsters feeling overly tight.
