Maybe the genius who thought of this commercial would like to test it with his own head . The first person who does get caught in that roof can hand it over to an accident /injury attorney . Sure hope its not.a child .
That ad was fake, must admit it's years since I last saw it.

The ad may be fake but the intent is real . That also goes for this thread which should be locked .
The original poster (who vanished) wants to blame on "the pandemic" as well as his family for making that cat dependent on them . He refuses to own any of it !!! I hinted to take the cat in in my first post and someone else was more direct. The truth is that if he complains about the cat walking on his car he could not deal with it ruining his 1980's furniture . Any time a person take ANY animal into a home it changes the dynamic of cleaning.
I deal the results of animal abuse , abandonment and neglect on a DAILY basis !! I know most here have dogs but sadly they face the same hatred by those who wish them harm . Its just more hidden because cats are free roaming in areas like mine. Dogs are picked up and taken to a shelter but some dog folks here may not have been to a shelter because they bought a pure bred dog . Sometimes even they end up in shelters .
I also know Australia is facing a feral cat issue of its own . I have explained to Australian members on another forum that if every cat was taken from that ecosystem it would not matter . The first person who wants to "get rid of" a cat would replenish it .
Ultimately it is a HUMAN problem !! These an imals were breed as domestic pets and sadly million die each year because some schmuck "hates" them !!! (for no real reason... just because) .
Have a similar circumstance but they choose the wrangler over the other cars and but would not fuss about it either way. Just paw prints, no scratches.
Had a cat walk on wet concrete. Contractor offered to fix it. I said no.
Can’t be that hard to keep out of garage unless there is a cat door and you keep the litter box in there. Consider moving it
Spraying cat with water is very effective. Out cats does not walk on our counter, don’t sleep on tables nor scratch furniture. I keep a spray bottle always full in pantry in case they try again
Buy a eufy motion security cam on Amazon for like $40, and mount it somewhere in the garage. I have one in the kitchen and you can setup custom defined motion zones within the camera’s view, at specific hours, so that if it picks up motion (in my case I didn’t want the cat on top of the counter area, in your case define a zone on the car roof) in that zone it’ll sound a really loud alarm and scare the cat off. Works well.
And .. squirt water when/if you can actually catch it in the act. They’ll learn that quickly too.
But be ready for some deep claw scratches in your paint from a scared cat trying to run off of the top or hood of your car.
