Same here - my status did not change from being on the ship.

 

Glovis Sun finally departed Benicia just now. I wish all my ship mates the best of luck going through port processing and onto a transport. Hope you get your cars soon!

 

Spoke with my SA on Sunday for an update on when cars from the Glovis Sun will arrive at Bay Area dealers. He expects cars will arrive later this week or over the weekend. Once delivered, the dealer needs several days to prepare the car for customer delivery. I requested the dealer notify me when the transport truck arrives so I can inspect the car (pics!) before the pre-delivery work. So, best case I’m hoping my C2 cab is ready for pick up mid next week. Just in time for Car Week and the local Porsche festivities. Looking forward to pics of new cars and happy owners!

Same. My SA thought they would get their cars by early next week. According to him, the dealership has 30(!) cars arriving so prep time might be a bit longer. My TYD has 8/5 as delivery date and I’m beginning to think that’s pretty spot on

 

According to my SA, my car is on the truck and headed to Oregon. Geared up for a Saturday delivery. Hope all my fellow Glovis Sun amigos have theirs soon too!

 

Interesting...my SA is off today. I just noticed that my TYD is unavailable from the myporsche.com site. Typically it is at the top of the site where I can click on the link to see the milestones, etc. At other points, it has also disappeared, only to reappear with updates where I advance in the milestones. So, I'm hoping this also means that my car is on it's way to the dealer today. I'll find out tomorrow when my SA is back. (fingers crossed)

 

my TYD updated today, but it is still stuck at port processing in Benicia. And the dealer arrival date moved from 07/29 to 08/05

 

My TYD came back but shows I too am still stuck at the port...but my arrival date was 8/5 for the longest time. Early in the process it was 7/15, then 7/29 for a while, but moved to 8/5 while the car was sitting in Eden waiting to be loaded. Hoping my SA will have an update today when he's back in the office.

 

I wonder what company loads ships in Bremerhaven, where the Glovis Sunlight is currently taking on cars. Is it conceivable that Porsche would move cars and load them in Bremerhaven? I don't think it is, but I think it's an interesting possibility.

No. That's where my old BMWs would come from. Ship will go from there to Emden, which is where all the VW group cars end up.

 

Did your TYD update that it's on a transport or does it show as still being in Benicia like the rest of us?
