New Safari Model

I'm 100% honest, not a joke. He cracked open some paper and showed me a color professional 8X11 sheet that showed it in Dakar or somewhere with sand dunes. The lights, raised looking like the 959 version from the late 90's. I didn't think much about it since I don't follow rally. It was Sunday 10th of April and I just joked that hopefully someone actually drives the thing. He said "people getting these are going to drive them"...I doubt that means anything....but I just texted him and asked for a picture and any info. I'll post it if possible. He did say it's not a one off and that it will be produced in volume.

Ok, it will be called the Dakar and he can't send pictures until it if formally announced. It is being manufactured along with a retro car called the "Sport Classic".
Here is an early pic, but it doesn't look like this..it is raised a lot more and has integrated lights into the front of the hood...below is the Sport Classic which will look like this...

You are full of ****..you wouldn't put down a deposit if you didn't know if there were lights on the hood...let alone read what I already said...beyond the looks...I know nothing about the mechanics. I asked about deposits...none are being accepted yet..anywhere. But, if you are interested...I will put you in touch of my contact and no, I'm not trying to sell a buildslot...I don't need to make money that way....so contact me if you like...

Here is the closest looking rendering I can find..the lights in the New Dakar are formed (one piece) into the hood like this...but the lights are closer to a front grill that was on the model i saw..not half way back like it is here. Again - if you want to put a deposit down contact me....I'm not trying to make a penny....nothing, I'll put you in touch with who I know...I might request a ride though.

wow... take it easy man, do you even know how deposit works? you get a two page paper from a dealer(french original): "Option d'achat - Promesse de vente sous condition suspensive" something like: Purchase option - Promise of sale subject to a condition...
It is usually for 5000 EUR but i also have one since 2018 for 30K EURO for another model, i'm are not force to buy any of this until i make the firm order(after the model is lunched) and wire the downpayment.

If you think about it...they have actually been trying to get the green light to build the Safari since the 959 version won the Dakar in 1986. I just can't believe they pulled the trigger and are going to make a full run of these. I assume it will be manufactured for one year only, but with all of these grail versions of cars being produced,....either the Cayman isn't going electric in 2025 or they are going to stop production of the "regular" GT4/Spyder's to concentrate on the higher margins of the RS and to increase the total number of cars with the newly developed GT4 RS engine so they can spread that development cost over more of the cars with this engine. Which makes my probability of getting a GT4/Spyder allocation less likely. It may be possible to reduce the output of the base and "S" versions but that seems less likely given the scale of difference.
