I chose sport design package and side skirts. I do not like the look of the black aero standard front bumper and standard black side skirts. Lack of aero no bother as it just helps cooling so no big deal on a non-track car. The base front bumper and base side skirts look like the cheap black bits all over my wife’s base Cayenne …..which are expected and OK on a 4WD SUV. Leather interior with deviated stitching is a must……that’s $ Spent on you. You will enjoy it every time You drive the car. Extended fuel tank for $260 is a no brainer. My car will be tracked infrequently so cost of lightweight package not worth the increased noise and vibration. Never looked or used my SC clock on my last three Porsches so no $ spent there either. Enjoy your car. Build it for YOU, not for me!

I especially like that you got the sub second clock, I plan on getting it also as I do not want a big mindless second hand going around the clock as the predominant feature while the time is a small digital readout.

Is it a good value? absolutely not, but a must have in my eyes.

I would go for full sport design package.

GTS has it, if that means something
Might be a reason to skip the GTS.

As noted, see the sports design - especially the rear - in person - before you order it. This is one of those things Nick Murray was spot on about. To me, it’s fugly - and yet I loved it in the pictures. But until you see it side by side with the standard rear, you should not choose it.

I watched the Nick Murray review and then saw them both. I much prefer the sports design rear bumper. Moving the license plate up really helps the look IMHO. But again, buy your car for YOU, not me. I also did a sunroof delete though many disagree.

Whatever you do, do NOT option the lightweight glass. Search some threads here: Porsche is having problems with their supplier and the lightweight glass is cracking a lot. Many times even sitting in a climate controlled garage.

Very interesting. I live in Canada and we have cold winters and hot summers. So this could be an issue.

My question is there are a few options that I have added or thinking of adding that are kind of on the bubble. I am getting Sports Chrono, Sports Exhaust and Full Leather with deviated stitching.

Looking to get people's opinion on how they found these options in particular:
  1. Sport Design Package Front and Back (I am getting the side skirts in Guards Red). Not Selected Yet. I'm mixed about the design, and don't like the fact that you lose dynamic aero in the front with the package.
  2. Porsche Design Sub-Second Chronopackage. (I like the look of the Porsche Design clock, and feel its different from what most people get). Selected. Does the clock look like its worth it?
  3. Lightweight & noise insulated Glass. (Based on the noise reduction, I'm not too conserned about weight). Selected. Does it fuction as advertised, any other benefits of having this vs standard glass?
  4. Aluminum PDK Gear Selector (I've seen people complain about the basic shifter cracking) Not Selected Yet. I'm ok with how the basic shifter looks, but worried about long term durability
  5. I'm getting the Leather package with deviated stitching. Any other leather bits I should consider?
  6. Also, I have the basic trim. Should I do more leather? carbon or aluminium
  7. Any other must have options based on my build?

Thanks, I appreciate your input.
1. Subjective, though I think Sport Design stands out more with a lighter colour.
2. Again, subjective though with the number of spots you can display the time in a late model Porsche these days, this isn’t a bad idea.
3. No opinion.
4. I think the Al would look out of place. Either one looks like a Braun shaver.
5. Pricey for what I think you’re getting, considering it’s just a matter of switching out thread during the upholstering process.
6. I think the standard trim looks classy.

You’ve hit all the basics. There really isn’t anything wrong with what you’ve listed above. If you want these items, get them. You will still have a nice build either way.
