disconnected GSM antenna
Last week I was driving along and suddenly I got a call from Porsche asking if I was OK or in an accident. Clearly I wasn't in danger but they said all of a sudden the GSM antenna was disconnected and wanted to make sure I was OK. About a week later I check my Porsche app and it tells me that my car is stolen and app functions are disabled.
So I reach out to my dealer at Porsche Manhattan and they said that the GSM antennas will be replaced with LTE ones in April which should fix all of these issues. I wasn't aware that 2020+ cars still used the 3G/GSM network which came as a shock to me. Is there anyone else with the same problem?

I would guess they are using GSM as a generic term, as I believe the 2020 (and I think even the 2018 and above 911's) - utilize 4G not 3G for their emergency transmissions.
You did not, by chance, do a rear mirror radar wire tap in the past? I only say this, as when I did my mirror wire tap for my Uniden R7 radar, I was looking at all the various connections in the overhead panel, and I believe that is where the SOS transmission wires are. If one of those were loose or jarred during a mirror tap, might have vibrated loose?

What did Porsche do?
Nope nothing like that

All 992s in the US have LTE. They’re not subject to the 3G shutdown that impacts 991s and Caymans (up to 2019). The 3G connected cars all went offline a month or so ago.
