I have not seen a thread that provided a summary of any issues experienced with 992s that might be helpful to others with similar issues. If I missed such a thread feel free to delete this one.
Let me start with issues I encountered so far in two months of ownership - not many thankfully:
Let me start with issues I encountered so far in two months of ownership - not many thankfully:
- Center Screen went black once without reason; a restart fixed that.
- Occasional error message on start-up - I believe that to be battery related.
- Top showed error message when opening and stopped mid-way - dealer found a six inch fabric thread tied around the opening mechanism.. removed that and it was fixed.

Door rattle seems to be a fairly common complaint. My dealer fixed a speaker rattle and created a new one by breaking the tabs on the door card. Now I'm waiting for six months on the new door panel.

Ditto on the passenger side door rattle.
Dealership fixed…said something inside the door was “not fastened down”. Now, coming up on 8 month of ownership, hear another door rattle. I’ll wait for my 1 year service.

What error are you seeing for #2? I wonder if it is the same "Auto Start/Stop" error that I get on startup every few days. We've already replaced one Li-Ion battery in my car in the first month of ownership and it's been doing it with both the original and the replacement.

I have a rattle from the driver's door armrest, otherwise all good. Thankfully during normal driving I rest my elbow on the armrest and it stops the buzz/rattle and when I get on it I don't hear the rattle 😆 Planning to have dealer look at it on first service rather than make a special trip in.

My driver side door handle had a little rattle to it. I fixed it with some felt tape on the back. Like to save the dealer trips for the stuff that I can’t fix.Carl

Zero issues so far with 3000 miles. Center Screen gets really smudgy....and piano black center console is smudge magnet. I carry a micro fiber to keep it clean because I am THAT guy. LOL

I have had my infotainment change the layout at random. Continual CarPlay sync issues. Today I lost the home link shortcut. Rattles in rear near the seatbelts. Drivers side door speaker rattles on bass notes. Cracks in shifter. Pretty weak build quality compared to my other 3 cars.

Door Card rattles and buzzing are persistent and seemingly incurable. IMHO inexcusable issues on this car. My 60+ year old 356’s were far more quiet at age, than this car is now or has been consistently since new, slightly over a year ago. DIS-A-POINT-TED!

After 2000 miles, I love the car and the only thing that doesn't work perfectly is the PCM. Every time I back out the garage, the homelink pops up as it's supposed to. BUT, I lose SAT radio until I go to the music icon, then the touch the "favorites" icon which brings the SAT radio back up. I'm guessing a reboot would help but I don't want to lose the Homelink and GPS data for my FAL.
