Dealership Allocation Intervals

I agree with you in principle. But I do not believe we should be looking at world production. Rather, we should consider Porsche US sales and US allocations which is ball park about 48,000 a year. The Felicity Ace was delivering cars to the East coast of North America. That would make US production quarterly allocation about 12,000 a year or 3,000 a quarter or 1,000 a month. So, the percentage depends on whether you are talking US production and whether you are analyzing the annual, quarterly or monthly allocation. I think one can safely say that the Felicity Ace disaster probably ate up most all the April US east coast allocations and probably some of the May allocations too. As to what is the exact percentage...you are correct.....who knows????? Then again, Porsche may have given US east coast dealers extra allocations out of fairness. It could also shift some Europe or Asia allocations to US cars to help out. Again.....who knows for certain??????

My local dealers Feb allocations were pushed to March. The indication is that their next round would be "early summer" but Im not sure what defines that anymore.
Irony is that I hope its delayed enough to be a 2023 model because for me (not commenting on anyone else here) Im wired to want the newest shiny object.
An April/May even June allocation could produce a 2022 car and seeing as its possible the 2023 configurations could be released in less than a month, Id be thinking about the options, colors, etc Id miss out on (even if the car is 6% more)
Just me.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger! No speculation. The info I relayed came from my SA (sales manager standing next to him) at a Porsche dealer. They were told by PNA that US (Canada??) dealers could expect an approx. 20% reduction in their next allocation to make up for the lost vehicles. That's all he said. Take it for what it's worth.

Not a reply on the allocation intervals as such; but my dealer (UK) has suggested any current 992 order now has an expected delivery of "late 2023 or early 2024".
I waited around 7 months I think for my first 992, which was delivered in Dec '19 (car since sold).
Yikes.

Do you have an actual allocation or a demand order only for the expected delivery of "late 2023 or early 2024"? Seems like an allocation would get you a car much faster.

Good thing is for those taking Ownership you will certainly hold your Values for a couple years.

Specifically - C2 GTS was actually quicker at July 2023, but base Carrera or S is definitely now edging into 2024.

£5k paid to OPC today for a demand order - they have no allocations at the moment; but this will be my 2nd 992 from them and he has assured me i'll get a slot. However, SA confirmed that even most recent allocations have an expected delivery between mid-2023 to early 2024, depending on model.

I think its been £5k in the UK for a while - or at least with the dealer network my OPC is part of (its a fairly big network).
They specify the 'holding' deposit amount based on model:
Macan, Boxster, Cayman, Panamera @ £3k
Most 911 @ £5k
911 Turbo/S @ £10k
