Car Delivered with One Key
Hi, All:
We took delivery of our 992 S in October 2021 at Atlanta PEC.
We were supposed to get the car in Stuttgart, but it was delayed because of TPMS shortage.
At delivery, we were only given one key, along with a letter stating this was the case, and that a second would be forthcoming.
It's now March 2022, and we're still waiting. The dealer has been stringing me along (not that it's their fault). I was told January, then February. Now, they tell me they're waiting on 100 keys.
Who else is in this situation?

August 2021 delivery. Still one key. DID receive an email from Porsche mothership saying "it's on the way". When it arrives dealer will contact me and arrange a time to pick key up and program car. You'll get "alarmist" comments on here about only having 1 key, wouldn't have taken delivery, blah, blah, blah but it's been no big deal. I'd much rather have the car with 1 key vs. not having the car at all. IF your dealer is telling you "next month" constantly that is a classic message of "tell them what they want to hear". My dealer has been honest and said "when it arrives it arrives, beyond our control".

It seems pretty asinine that an October delivery still has just one key particularly when later deliveries have two. Personally I would be calling PCNA daily given dealerships have little influence on this matter.

December 2021 delivery, 2 keys. And yes, forget your dealer, call PCNA but the bottom line is that you WILL get the 2nd key. All I use is just 1 key, the other will probably sit in the drawer it's been in since December for the next 10-20 years till I sell the car.

November 2021 delivery. One key.
Three weeks ago I get an email from Porsche North America saying my key is available for delivery at my dealer. It says to contact Porsche customer support
Email customer support, tell them my preferred dealership
Return email requests I confirm my VIN
Another email asks me to confirm my preferred dealership
Yet another email asks me to which dealership the key should be shipped
Another email says they will ship it to my dealer
Yesterday I got a call that my dealer has the key
It shouldn't be that difficult
