Navy Federal and USAA are terrific lenders. Have accounts with both.

True enough. We financed my wife's car a few years ago and we maxed out. Haven't had a loan since and the score is a little less. We have a couple credit cards and pay them off quickly ... the gas card before we clear the pump.
