@jack_carls0n I do not know when production will start. I don't have the track your dream stuff yet. Some bad news: the Aerokit will be body coloured without the gloss black stuff. The matte black Aerokit is only an error in the configurator.

@Correlon75 My build was always supposed to be a MY23. I specifically requested a 2nd half year of 2022 allocation (and did not take the next allocation) to make sure I get the next model year. That was actually a gamble, could have gotten something worse out of it. Prices in Germany didn't change this time, because they already increased previously. So I cannot tell you what they would've done in that case. But there won't be more standard features afaik.

 

Curious where you got that intel? I have been told that the Aerokit was changed from body colour to the black version and the body coloured version isn't even available.

 

Aerokit is body colored on the GTS unless you select the black high gloss option, which then the top of your wing will be painted glossy black, as well as sides and front lip.

 

Not sure what the true answer is here. But the S still has body color Aerokit in the config, and the matte black aero is a characteristic I've never seen before. Seems odd to create a brand new characteristic on the config for no reason. That being said, my S had a matte black front lip on the config and still does on MyPorsche, and the GTS had a painted lip for a long time on the config, so who knows.

 

Who was telling you this? If you are hearing it from someone who is just looking at the configurator, then they may be mistaken. I know previously they had the front lip painted body color with the Aerokit, which was inaccurate, and my SA pulled some internal documents from his Porsche rep that showed the lip would actually be matte black. It took them a while to fix that on the configurator, I am assuming the rear wing is the same situtation, unless your source has Porsche documents showing otherwise.

I am quite sure by now, because I clarified directly with Porsche. They confirmed that the Aerokit is body colored if you don’t have the gloss black package. Also they confirmed that they forwarded the issue with the configurator to the technicians to get it fixed. So unless they are completely mistaken, it should be as it was before and will be body colored.

I don’t know whether you have the possibility for direct requests for clarification through your dealer in the US or elsewhere. In Germany you get that possibility as soon as your dealer places your order on an allocation.

 

 

I hope that's the case and my source (SA) is incorrect... I prefer the body coloured aero kit. I'll be able to confirm in a couple of months
