Detuning A Carrera S/GTS To Feel Like A Base Carrera Engine

Here’s the trick
Remove 2 of the spark plugs and the car will be transformed. At 2000 rpm, you will feel the thrill of a GT3 as the engine vibrations course through the chassis and into the cabin giving you the validation you have always wanted in life.

Yes, this is a waste of time. No one prefers the "base" to the S. There are plenty of threads where people think the base is enough, and it does make plenty of power so that's fair. It all comes down to how much people are willing to spend and what they are willing to spend for.

I was in the same boat. Had the base been offered with the manual transmission, I would've gone that route. I don't regret having to pony up for the S (...because of the added benefits), but the reality is I would've been in a base MT had that been an option.

With that in mind if the Base model was offered in a manual transmission, but cost MORE than the S with a manual would you still buy the Base model???
I’m going to go out on a limb and say 99% of people would NOT.
OP is absolutely delusional wanting to detune a GTS to Base performance, but they do win the award for most amusing and entertaining thread currently on Rennlist

Wow, this is the most retarded (apologies for using this un-pc term) thing I've read or seen on the Internet. Including the youtuber who smashes his Tesla touchscreen with a hammer just to see if the car still worked.

I mean, if it was an overpowered car with ****ty handling, sure. But doing it on a car that already needs a bit of a flogging to get squirrely? Don't get it at all.

Just get this thing and be done with it…
