That is correct. The GM at my dealership let me know this A couple of days ago. He indicated that they said some of the cars were damaged. No one knows at this point how many or how bad the damages are. However the delivery dates are temporary delayed for those who are not damaged. Who knows what will happen with the damaged vehicles? This morning when I checked they my vehicle application, it stated delivery date of January 29, 9999. I don’t think I will be needing a car at that point in time. Hopefully it is what Porsche did to take the cars out of the system for those on the composure that were delivered to Davisville. Otherwise stay positive.

My GTS has now slipped to a similar delivery status and it is on the way to Houston. The port entry has stayed the same but delivery is projected to be 1/29/9999. Yikes.
Uh oh, mine too now. As of yesterday it still said delivery 4/01/2022. Will be bugging my dealer on the daily, for sure. At least Composer is now headed to Houston so hoping that is good news for all of you in the South and the West with a car onboard.
I sent an email to the gm at my dealership this morning inquiring if there is any meaning to January 29, 9999. I will update if I hear anything. Ironically I am about 15 miles away from Davisville in Newport ri for the weekend. If I can I will try to sneak by the port and see if I can get any info
Hi Everyone! New to this forum. My GTS is bound for Houston on the Composer. If there is damage to the car, is the dealer obligated to disclose? Are we within our rights to renegotiate the deal? Thanks.
Well TYD updated this morning. Now it shows at dealership on December 30, 2022. Much better than January 29, 9999. I doubt the date is tied to anything. Hopefully it only means that it is pending inspection and not actually damaged. Hope everyone on board Composer receives good news soon.
I also had the delivery date updated to 12/22... I hope that doesn't mean that my car is damaged and now has to be rebuilt and reshipped. Did anyone get a more favorable delivery date or were they all changed to 12/22?

I have two cars on the boat. Hope at least one is okay.
I have a Macan S on it. My SA told me they received a report saying that my car came into contact with at least one other but they don't have any details on the extent of the damage or how Porsche will handle these. They'll know more once they unload every car in Houston. Who knows how long that'll take, to get all of them inspected properly.
After pestering my dealer I received the following message a few hours ago.
"I don’t have any particulars at this time except the boat did arrive but there’s going to be a delay from all the cargo that was onboard. The port is backlogged and Porsche does not have exact ETAs at this time. Part of the delay is the ship’s cargo. Apparently the ship hit some rough seas and they want to make sure none of the cargo was damaged so they are going through the cargo one by one. I am told that it’s possible that there may be a few cars with scuffs or possibly dents or dings. They don’t think anything was severely damaged. So, hang tight until we hear more."
Thanks everyone for your updates. I don’t have any news from my GM but he is at corporate headquarters in Atlanta and promised to dig up more information. He did say that Porsche told him none of his 15 cars will be released from Davisville port till end of next week. Hoping no news is good news
I spoke to my dealer this am who told me all the cars headed for the northeast had been offloaded off the ship. No further information other than the fact the cars were able to be driven off the ship under their own power.
