Default Spare Key

I took delivery of my 992S on 12 November last year and have yet to receive my spare key.

Have folks with a similar delivery date received their spare key yet?

Why are folks not getting their second key at time of delivery? Is this a supply chain thing? I got my 992 right as the world was shutting down two years ago, and received both keys at time of delivery.

Yup, you got it. Additionally, if you lost a key recently forget about getting it replaced any time soon.

However, I believe that current new deliveries are coming with two keys.

I got my 992 S in Aug 2021 with only 1 key and my dealer just called me last week to let me know my 2nd key came in and set an appt to have it programmed. So it took about 7 months to get my 2nd key.

Wow, so you have to bring the car to the dealer in order to program the key?

Call your dealership. If no joy, call PCNA and keep calling them until it gets resolved. The squeaky wheel...

Yes. My dealer told me they need to program it. I can't imagine it taking long but they said plan on leaving the cars for 2 hours.

Slightly off topic, but if anyone has a FOB that doesn't work I'm looking for one for parts. Basically I just need the little piece that screws onto the body that has the keychain loop.

Boy, if they are only giving out (1) key with each new car, you might want to put an Apple Air Tag on it.

Found out you can actually buy the missing pieces from the dealer . So put in an order for the blade and the screw and the keychain loop piece
