I dislike visible plastic, so I ordered it on a lowly 981S. No regrets. I notice (and appreciate) it about one drive out of three or four, which is enough.

I'd certainly order it on a 992.

I ordered it in my car and I think it was worth it.

Thank you very much.
Seems money spent for no reason. I bought my TTS last year, a couple of months old, and only noticed that it had the leather option on the steering column when I was cleaning the interior last week. You'd have to be a proper geek to spot it.

Well that could define the Porsche purchase entirely. I notice the steering columns in every car, so I find it interesting that you overlooked yours.

I ordered it, and as mentioned, quite nice especially with deviated stitching. At least from the photos…. lol

It is a nice touch. It’s the little things in/about cars that make them stand out.

I have it on my C2S and I thought I would notice more. Not a big regret for $500 but nor sure if I would order again.

I love it! Others won't care. If you want it, just get it. You'll be quite happy you did if you do and quite happy if you don't. I think it looks killer.

Steve I really appreciate the pics. Very helpful! I ordered it as well for my Truffle/Chalk interior.

I’m curious if you ordered any other trim pieces you’re happy with or regret purchasing.

I ordered it on my previous 2 cars (991.2 Turbo S Cab and 991.2 GT3 Touring) and chose not to order it this time.

I honestly do not miss it.

I have had this option on a couple 911s and a couple 911s with out it.

To me it is like the extended dashboard leather option.

Neither option is necessary but spend your money as you like but you will not get a $.01 more at resale or trade.

I have opted not to get these options because the minute you turn your key most of these non-performance options become irrelevant.

But- the great thing about building your own 911 is the ability to Custom it with personal options that probably only you will enjoy, if only, for the first month of Ownership
