Default Aero Kit + lightweight pkg?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered previously, but I didn't find anything with a search.

I was previously on the fence about selecting the light weight pkg with buckets but have firmly decided to go this route (GTS build)
I had the Aerokit selected in my build already and when selecting the light weight pkg, the configurator forces the Aero kit to be dropped.

This seems really strange to me as it seems like would be a common build selection.
Has anyone managed to get these two items paired together in a build???

Seems odd since the aero kit saves weight.

How so?

I doubt it; unless they skip the electric motors, even then it's likely very close.

Yes, the two are not allowed together. I tried to do the same and it also was kicked back. The thinking is that the lightweight package and its altered underbody aero may not be compatible with the aerokit.

yes no hardware and electric motors required as is for the active aero. Somewhere I saw 22 lbs I’ll see if I can find the reference.

I'm not sure that there is any weight saving since the sheet metal is still there for the disabled articulated spoiler.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is a slight increase in weight with the added wing.

It just seems odd to me that both items are for a more sport oriented spec car.
They should go hand in hand.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe the aerokit pkg is compatible with the revised front fascia and rear underbody diffuser on the GTS models.

Thanks for this.
I forgot about the revised underbody aero.

Thanks.
I believe you're on the right track, but I think @TN_3 nailed it.

I'll definitely ask my SA but it looks like I have a choice to make.

I think I am mistaken about the weight of the AK. I was referencing the 18 way seats vs 4 way. The AK may add weight due to more sheet metal (plastic).

Looks like my best option is to independently select:
- AeroKit
+ LWBS which includes rear seat delete
+ Lightweight glass

This will get me pretty close to what I was originally trying to spec.

I did Aerokit with the LWBS, I skipped the lightweight glass after reading about potential issues with tinting, the cracking issues the GT3s are seeing with it, and people complaining about blurred outward visibility. The weight savings wasn't significant enough for me on that one.
