humm..not sure. I didn’t think of that. The standard wheel is 33mm thickness measured at the top of the wheel with calipers. Maybe someone with a gt wheel can provide the same measurement.

Absolutely, I get roughly 540 miles range on the interstate in Normal mode running about 80-85mph.

Thanks everyone for your input.

I am going to forego the Glass Sunroof.

Thought about the Extended Range Fuel Tank, but I don't need it based on my driving needs. There is no need to lug around additional weight.

Power Steering Plus - seems silly to have this as an option, but I am going to keep it since it's cheap.

That is a very nice range with the optional tank.

No need to lug around extra weight as you don't have to fill the tank. But I think it would be nice to have the added range for a trip or just to put more time between fill ups. If they offered it on the Targa, I would op for it for sure.

Most of the time it is not about range. It is about convenience. You can get away with putting gas less often. Like you will go 34% longer with the bigger tank. So, for example, you may end up putting gas in every 10 days instead of every week, etc. And you can always put less gas in the bigger tank but cannot put more in the smaller one. I don’t see the drawback except for the nominal value they charge for it.

That's pretty cool, but if the predictions a generated by historic data from the configurator, I wonder how much I have driven my own recommendations from the hundreds of builds I have done.

I do think Porsche missed some low hanging fruit here. Once that suggestion comes up, you should be able to click on the suggestion and add it to your build instead of going to find it and add it.

1. C2 – get what you want
2. GT Silver – get what you want, but silver and black are boring
3. Carrera Classic 20”/21” – great wheels but agreed they will look better with S brakes
4. Standard 4-way partial leather seat in Slate Grey with Porsche crests – get what you want, but the full leather is so much better and the Plus seats are not much more
5. Premium Package – not a bad value
6. Glass Sunroof – already gone, smaert decision
7. Sport Chrono – comes with the manual on the S, nice to have the drive modes
8. PSE – it's not loud, I enjoy it, get it only if you want it
9. Quad Tailpipes – personal preference
10. Model Designation Delete – better than black badging but that's a big bumper with nothing on it
11. Design Fuel Cap – Suncoast, where I got mine
12. Prep for Roof Transport – sure
13. Power Steering Plus – you've argued for this but not the bigger tank, doesn't make sense
14. Steering Wheel – I have the standard heated, didn't get the GT not b/c of the bumps, but b/c the GT has those screws all over it which makes it look cheap, the standard is cleaner looking for sure

Well, another change :-)

- added Standard Interior in Slate Grey with Leather. I guess the entire seat, top of the dash and the top of the doors will be more luxurious.

I think that is a good move. It is a good intermediate upgrade and the leather on the dash and door sills make a big difference. Glad I spent the extra money.

Stock steering wheel is definitely thinner overall than the GT sport steering wheel. It’s not just the 10/2 humps that blocks the view. The thicker overall wheel blocks some of the view too. I also noticed that the GT sport steering wheel feels like a higher quality smoother leather than the standard wheel which feels slightly rougher… at least between the car I test drove and my actual car. All said, if I ordered again. I’d skip the GT sport wheel b/c the stock wheel feels perfectly fine to me and I appreciate being able to see more of the gauges. Since you like a thick wheel go w/ GT sport.

Best answer. I wish they had this option for Australian markets - I mean, we're a pretty big country too... 64L is only about a measly 16 gallons.
