As I said in my earlier post my Gt3 always runs 13 3 to 13 five so it seems that they run the charging system constantly . I would assume they’re having more trouble with the AGM batteries than the Li-on?.
I don't have any data, but so far I've had one serious battery problem (dead) on my 2020 Macan S (AGM) and one electrical fault on same car. No electric issues so far on 992 with LiFePO4. But given this is a 992 Forum, I venture is why you see a lot of LiFePO4 complaints.

I must admit I don't know if or where that bulletin is posted publicly. The information above is all I got from my SA. I pick up my car on Thursday and will find out more in person.

I strongly suspect this is not an OTA from what he said.

Yes, please keep us posted. That in 2022 a leading manufacturer like P can't install software updates OTA is beyond pathetic, especially considering the importance such an update is to those suffering from this issue. Nuff said.

I picked up my 2021 C4S today. Here are the service reports highlighting the pathology of my parasitic drain problem. All done under warranty.

(1) They replaced my lithium battery and did the software update I referenced above.

(2) The dealer also did some work on the ground post.

For those impacted, I hope this is useful.

Thanks for posting this. Don't know what the Connect Control Unit is, is this referencing the BMS? I'm looking at my VAL to see if I can find a version number for the CCU.

Unable to find any mention of CCU or related in my VAL; 2021 992C4S LiFePO4.

PLEASE NOTE:

Grounding post work referred to is UNDER the engine and not the battery. The strap and specifically the "nut" could be corroded and thus the work done.

My notes from the latest service; very similar to @aquatone , same basic issue and same mention of the Connect Control unit although no mention of bulletin #2229 and states software level now 0412 rather than 0420 as mentioned on @aquatone's post. I got it back last Thursday and touch wood so far so good.

Interestingly over in Polestar 2 land (a.k.a. the electric Volvo sedan made in China) there are persistent issues with what they call their 'TCAM' module. TCAM stands for "Telematics and Connectivity Antenna Module" and while most of the issues are resolved by resetting that module, i.e. power reset, on occasions owners also report the 12v battery also dies. Sounds erringly familiar when you read the thread like this one.

That's awesome @aggie57. So far I have had no other parasitic drainage issues. I have even started leaving my frunk hood closed/locked when I leave the car!

Not sure if that was mentioned before. Apparently, the parking brake, when engaged, is a constant drain on batteries. I learned it the hard lesson...when the battery died it releases the parking brake and displays a message on dash that the car my roll away. Wonder if you guys with Lithium batteries and parking your car for extended time engage the break or not.

That’s worrying. Did you try rolling the car? The e-brake should not release if the battery dies. Theoretically, it needs power to disengage.

I actually did not do that but the warning on the dash clearly stated it may just roll away. Surprised me too. Also, would be bad if it stays engaged (how would a solenoid stay engaged w/o power) in case batteries dies and you need to tow the car.

PS: Solenoids dont need a lot of power to stay engaged but its not zero either....long term parking may do the trick to help draining the battery. Maybe this was discussed before? Thread is too long to search for it.

Wow - is potential roll-away behavior even legal? Seems that default brake behavior should be engaged and any potential danger could invite regulatory action.

I do engage the parking break though!
