One thing, maybe, to try, would be the dealer/you finding a way to shut some/all of that app functionality to an "off" state for testing

also just thinking about it some more, its possible I have a gap between two of the mesh devices, or etc, and for a brief moment I'm dropping out of my mesh on to the cars network somehow. Generally phones will automatically switch networks to another available, and doubly so if it connects to one that has no internet connection, I have autoreconnect to my house wifi disabled which may be why you arent noticing it but I am

Click porsche connect

Click private mode for selected services, private mode or remove access authorization (probably good to try all 3)

Disable things 1 by 1 is probably the first step to figuring out if a connect service is the problem

just saw this in the settings and disabled vehicle hotspot on my car

It's a waste. I believe I've had 160 baud rate dial up acoustical cup phone modems that were faster than what Porsche put in these cars. I use my cell phone as the Hot Spot for the car. Not the other way around.

I think it must have been turned on from the start for me, and I never disabled it...or used it lol

I did ask my SA if the dealership had observed similar problems in other 992's and he said he had, but pending getting mine into the shop, did not clarify what.

Following up on my similar situation, my SA has just told me that the issue has been fixed after he received "there was a programming bulletin for the battery issue". Pick up in a few days so we will see.

Wow, that sounds hopeful and thanks for sharing. If at all possible can you get the bulletin number (TSB)?

1) Can you provide the link where that document is located please?

2) Can anyone find out if this can be an OTA as I'm not driving 700+ miles with snow on the ground for this.

Thanks for any info

Is it just for the AGM battery or does it include the lithium ion? One thing I’ve noticed the 992 I had the battery would only run at 12.2-12.7 unless you were stepping on the brakes or slowing down then the charging system go all the way up to 15.2. The battery went dead on me once and had the dealer replace it Under warranty even though I didn’t drive 6000 miles a yearThe Gt3 with the lithium-ion always stays at 13 3 to 13.5 and doesn’t increase voltage when you’re stepping on the brakes . I keep the car on the Ctek When I’m not driving it. Interested in seeing the update

thats my experience with the AGM battery too; 12-13v unless braking and revs above around 2,000 or when the battery is completely dead like I had this week. Consistent, repeatable behavior but then likely normal and OK if there wasn’t a drain when the car is idle.

Bottom line what they have done to save weight and money the AGM battery is too small 60 A should be 90. Combine that with having the charging system run as little as possible to maximize Fuel economy. The icing on the cake is a high parasitic draw when the car sits. As I said in my earlier post my Gt3 always runs 13 3 to 13 five so it seems that they run the charging system constantly . I would assume they’re having more trouble with the AGM batteries than the Li-on?.
