We updated the installation video to highlight what to do when the center tab gets stuck and how to install the spacer kit.

Not really, holds in pretty tight once it is far enough forward to sit in the ducting/bumper cover groove.

Default A quality radiator grille but....

[QUOTE=RGS;18801798]We updated the installation video to highlight what to do when the center tab gets stuck and how to install the spacer kit.

New video is helpful but:
1:18 Watch out for right here
1:25 Pull that straight out like so
1:38 This does happen... this one is stuck right now
2:00 "Sometimes it comes out sometimes it doesn't."

He forgot to say that sometimes it breaks.
Call dealer and price out new centerpiece part.
Ask me how I know

Fitted mine today and they look great. Removing the trim piece was very easy. Getting it back on was the worst part of the whole job. The horizontal tab on the inner most end deforms very easily and doesn’t want to go back in the slot. Very difficult and stressful. The rest of it was fairly easy. It helps if you have forearms like an 8 year old boy. Now I look like I’ve been self harming. Probably best to wear a long sleeve denim shirt or overall or something to protect your arm when reaching inside. Otherwise, not too bad and happy with the result.

Looks like a high risk installation to me, cracking or snapping the tabs off the factory pieces.

i love the look too, but don’t want to risk breaking the surrounding plastics

I installed on my GTS. In my view, the risk of breaking the tabs is low as the plastic is more pliable than stiff. In fact, that's what made getting them back in place a little challenging in that they want to bend rather than snap back in. Having done it I think it was worth the effort.

Obviously N=1 here, but I took time to ensure I didn't overstretch the tabs on the plastic trim pieces and it went back together beautifully. Honestly the hardest part is maneuvering the screen into position with adult sized arms/hands.

I didn’t have that issue when I installed mine.

Installed on my 991.1S and was never able to correctly seat the passenger side trim again after removal. Once I bent the tab out to remove to do the install, tab was soft plastic and did not return to original shape and location. Had to buy a new trim piece to correct. So be very careful. Drivers side trim, on the other hand, installed fine. Also did not like how they mount from an engineering standpoint. But, the price point is very good and they are better than no screens at all.
