The offerings from Porsche that end at the rear of the door look odd to my eye. Now that classic Carrera script that goes the lengths of the side is something else entirely . . .
Agree. I prefer the 991 style that goes the length of the side. I ordered that as a CXX option on my incoming 992.
I had intentions on removing them when I purchased the car (CPO) but after owning it for a bit now I find them appealing. To each their own, you can always remove them.
In general, I think the side decal is quite cool, but I don't love the execution on the 992. It stops short of full length with the door curve, and as a result, it just looks "hanging in space". Somebody back then had it figured out, however.

While I agree that the older stripes look better, to me they can add a vintage look to the car with the right color combo.

If you have the black stone guards I would think the new design would be the way to go, yes?
How do you install the full length decal with the clear stone guards, do you just put it over the stone guards?
Good points. I think old style would look OK with the stone guards - I'd cut the stripe where it meets the guard. Here's a 930 Turbo with that approach - I like it -
Considering the PORSCHE black decal on the doors of my 992 Cab that is metallic white. On the build site it seems to add some depth to the car that might be needed.
I’d appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks!
$140 aftermarket, takes ten minutes a side to install.
I did a blind black against black on my Touring - script to match the irons - but passed on the opportunity with our 992 with its’ slippery shape that to me didn’t need it…but I get why people do it. That ‘ short’ decal is not for me but I certainly understand it’s appeal for some.
