Agree. I prefer the 991 style that goes the length of the side. I ordered that as a CXX option on my incoming 992.

I had intentions on removing them when I purchased the car (CPO) but after owning it for a bit now I find them appealing. To each their own, you can always remove them.

In general, I think the side decal is quite cool, but I don't love the execution on the 992. It stops short of full length with the door curve, and as a result, it just looks "hanging in space". Somebody back then had it figured out, however.

While I agree that the older stripes look better, to me they can add a vintage look to the car with the right color combo.

Put the black decals recently on my grey 992, I like the look. Though I feel like the grey sometimes kind of needs that little extra something.

I just think that the new factory "Porsche" door decals look strange as they end on the doors rather than the older style. Love the AG though!

This. There are several people that have used the older design on 992. It looks great.

If you have the black stone guards I would think the new design would be the way to go, yes?

How do you install the full length decal with the clear stone guards, do you just put it over the stone guards?

Good points. I think old style would look OK with the stone guards - I'd cut the stripe where it meets the guard. Here's a 930 Turbo with that approach - I like it -

I’d appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks!
$140 aftermarket, takes ten minutes a side to install.

I did a blind black against black on my Touring - script to match the irons - but passed on the opportunity with our 992 with its’ slippery shape that to me didn’t need it…but I get why people do it. That ‘ short’ decal is not for me but I certainly understand it’s appeal for some.
