Hi, I understand the answer is a personal choice, but was hoping to hear opinions and would appreciate any related pics. I will be trading my 2017 991.2 S jet black metallic / black / black for new 992 (awaiting allocation since August). I will likely get a 992 S cabriolet , silver / red top / black, bordeaux interior. Any opinions, for silver preference- dolomite silver vs gt silver? Appreciate any comments, and of course, available photos. Thanks much

 

GT silver, it has a lot of depth to it.
I had one, miss it.

 

I’d go GT. I feel like Dolomite has a little too much blue and IMHO clashes with the red. My Spyder is GT silver, so I’m admittedly biased.

 

I spent a lot of time looking at cars in the two silvers. They are very different IMO. Dolomite is significantly brighter and has a blue tint, GT has a fair amount of black in it. I’d focus on what silver you prefer. I’ve seen both with a red top, and they both work well.

I know you are looking for a silver, but Agate with Bordeaux makes for a nice combo also.

 

Also understand that the red top is a different red than the Bordeaux interior.

 

i think the Bordeaux interior is pretty close to the Bordeaux top.

991.2 in agate gray with red top. Also with black/Bordeaux interior. Still lovin’ it.

I don't really like the Agate with red as much on the targa. On the Targa, I would go GT and navy top.

 

We have Dolomite with blue targa top and graphite blue interior. To us, the Dolomite is a brighter and more vibrant colour and was an easy pick against blue interior and top …but if I was to order with red top, GT I think would be a better combination - deeper ..almost tone down the red red/black.

 

Agree with every word. GT all the way, Dolomite too blue. Also biased.
